I am genuinely new to this game and verdance speaks to me on design and gameplay level, but I was wondering if you had some alt options for some of those more expensive cards? I don’t think it is wise to invest money I don’t have into a game I just started but I have the mindset to get involved and Verdance is the hero that could keep me invested emotionally enough to eventually invest financially after saving up and workshopping and practicing. I hope this makes sense and any help would be welcome!
oh yeah i totally get it, this game's price tag is stupid. just made this budget list for you! hope its helpful: fabrary.net/decks/01J99EY99KAGJKRZ7FMT97PK46
You are too kind!!! Omg!! That is a great price point too, something attainable that I feel like really would help get me going. I know investing in those heavy hitters is gonna be a necessity, especially if I want to go further and higher! Right now financially I need to stick to a limit of about 20 or so dollars for any given play set of a card. So this list perfect! Thank you so much!
im a new player, and was sad to hear ira was LL, so happy about adult ira, and your breakdown on her she will work, can't wait to try the hero i wanted to
why no channel millenium tree? Is it too ambisous of win con needing 4 card hand to enable it first time? Seems good to me that people pack ab1 and you can reach them to death from 6 life in 2 turn cycles. Also would be extra tech against Enigmas because 4 dmg arcane sources are really hard to prevent. Also is NAA block3 sometimes block4-5
its possible! i have also seen some lists playing cmh to fill a similar role. i do think its best into enigma, while i would want cmh probably into other decks
Loved Aurora during prerelease. I found multiple victories by prioritizing runechants to burn through my opponent’s AB. Do you think a runechant focused Aurora could be as strong as this type of build? Or did my build only work due to the limited format?
That arc lightning is such a powerhouse. Managed to pull one for the event and did a 15 damage turn. The sword helps connect those combos for such wide attacks. Thanks for the video! I’m looking forward to building
it was in the original list but i think theres better cards without go again that are more important. basically what you said, theres better stuff to play and fuse cards are a liability sometimes
ive been impressed! its usually go again. ill usually only play it for 7 if its in arsenal and i block with 3 cards or draw too many reds. in all other circumstances it blocks 3
It was my final change to the list. The massive problem I have with it is while its a 2 for 8 earth card that decomposes, you usually have a better attack card to use your action point for (felling, cnc, plow, or grasp + reaping for 4). what it means is that often tilling is a 2 block attack action, which imo is the main thing i want to avoid in the list. while getting the hero power online asap is important, i do think florian is naturally slow enough that you can afford to be a bit more patient
I would advise you to consider playing Kodachi, Lantern and Snaps/Riders. Since you mentioned in the video that you would rather send the disruption for 7.
potentially! i do think needle for 3 when you dont youre playing the 1 for 5's is important, and since we cut snatch i have less reason to have snaps. however i do like the idea of breeze riders and lantern, ill see if i can find room in the list for it
same reasons as the blue, its aura disruption against prism and enigma. lets you clear spectra while still putting on pressure. lets you bottom mirigai. can also be used against kayo to clear agility tokens or the mirror to bottom things like malefic (although those 2 heroes i havent tested enough to endorse playing it into them, but the theory is there). having the red means more copies which is needed against illusionist, the same mirigai swinging twice is game losing sometimes
Hey there, small reminder that you can switch the blue pouncing qi with blue crane dance, since blue crane dance also blocks 3 and got combo.. and just in case you have a really bad hand you still can play crane dance, use snapdragon or tide flippers and play find center with combo. really not a huge deal but min-maxing the shit out of this deck
I went against a pitch stack version which was comboing rampant growth with life gain, surgent aethertide and forked bolt. It was only using a few card to trigger the verdance ability just the majestics and red rootbound. Seems strong
Hey what do you think about tiger ira as playstile for her ? :) (pros and cons from your side would be interessting :) ) Thank you for your video and keep up your great work ! ^-^
i think the pro would be you would be a better tiger deck than katsu (if you draw perfect) because you get +1 every single turn. the cons are you have to naturally draw the combo pieces instead of having katsu tutor out the lines. i think ira cant afford to play combo lines because she cant search like katsu or zen. you could possibly try to include some smaller tiger lines like qi unleashed though!
Looks great! I'm not really sure I understand Shuko in this deck though. Stonewall Gauntlet would do basically the same thing with upside and Flick Knives can give guaranteed damage in the end game.
current philosophy is that is blocks 2 while occasionally letting you trigger it (relevant for heroes like enigma). im not super sold on flick because i think your end game is already strong enough, but maybe it could work. stonewall could definitely find a spot in the sideboard if your meta calls for it
Surgemt aethertide is a brilliant weapon for Verdance, her rampant growth//life turns get very good value which can end up being an otk: Gain life, play 2-3 rampant growths, surgent aethertide for 14 ish which buffs your next arcane damage card by the amount it deals which can be 11 ish. All in all, the ceiling is rather high. You can feasibly do 35 damage, it is even wasier if you use healing potions.
its come up a few times in discussion but i think theres some problems. the proposed combo ive seen floating around requires setup that i dont think is reliable, while using it in any other circumstance is giving your opponent too much value. ultimately i think moon is pretty mid itself, so i couldnt tell you how much it makes or breaks the gameplan HOWEVER, i do like the synergy with growth
Been digging Waning Moon with Verdance. My issue so far has just been her ability only working in your own turn. It's been fun trying to get Korshem to work with her for lulz.
After playing in the World Premiere i am really excited to see this decks come into their own in CC. Looking forward to what you put together for Verdance!
What's your opinion on Sting of Sorcerery in the deck in general, and Reaping Blade against decks like Verdance and Florian, or just anyone who wants to run some life gain and stay healthy
i think reaping will be offline most of the game, since youre the aggro deck. much more likely youre going to be ahead in life most of the game. sting is interesting and i thought about it, but i think you mostly want attacks or instants in the deck and her spec is sting but way better
@@TheTekloFoundry I think there's some benefits to reaping blade, it's a much better lategame weapon into Verdance, since every single time she damages you, that basically creates a cap on her healing, and she can't rely on her lategame arcane bombs as often, making it way harder to kill you in the end I think it'd be a very thin line for the Aurora player to walk, because if she goes for the kill and get finish off Verdance, that gives Verdance the opportunity to bomb her
I think sigil of suffering deserves to be in the 80s. Paired with channel lightning valley it could net you some good value kind of like how Iyslander cheat value from CLF.
