It was great before the DEI update. Human women with breads has got to be the stupidest thing. Glad Christopher isn't around to see his father's IP go to complete hell.
WoW's community is super toxic. I kid you not, once, a brand new player in my dungeon was voted out of the group because he wasn't dealing enough damage... even though we were clearing everything super fast. He wasn't even doing anything wrong, just a new troll hunter in poor gear. He wasn't pulling anything he shouldn't, just low damage and at least 3 of the 5 people in the group thought they needed someone else for the Atal Dazar run. One of the final straws that convinced me to quit the game. That isn't a standalone occurrence. The community has been conditioned to optimize everything, and if you are too slow or poorly geared, they will abandon you at the drop of a hat. All WoW cares about is go go go go go go go go go go go!!!! The story is garbage, all the gear becomes obsolete each expansion, and the game is filled with grindy BS solely there to waste your time, so you keep paying for that juicy subscription. Not to mention the company wants to milk you of everything you've got because the CEO is a greedy scum bag who hates video games and only sees the players as dollar signs.
GW1 was the greatest game ever made. The aspects you list as negatives even are some of the things that made it special and kept it alive for so long. The instances towns for example created a great sense of community. This is the first time ever, and I played from basically release, that I've heard anyone say it is a bad thing.
I played wow since I was 7 years old and it was one of my favourite games. For years my friend suggested I play gw2 and I kept saying no but one day I gave it a shot and I loved it. At the time, wow had started becoming really confusing and complex, I missed so much because of school or stuff and I missed out constantly. It’s been 2 years since I dropped wow forever and I won’t ever go back. Gw2 just has a much more fun levelling process and no matter how long a break I take, I never feel like I missed out. The world feels way better and more immersive. Combat also feels way faster and slicker for me
Actually THE best presentation of LOTRO i ve seen so far. Good job 👍 I ve reinstalled the game last week after 6 years of AFK. Already lvl 41 on my new warden.
Wow is great at keeping it's playerbase, but sucks at getting new players, gw2 is amazing for new players, but has a difficult time keeping players post endgame, and i say this as a gw2 fanboy
No, sorry the game is not fun anymore. Everyone is max level and I don't want to solo 120 levels to be able to raid. It's called an MMO, not a single player game.
Played WoW for years, after my account got hacked and banned, I left it. I was searching for a new MMO for ages, tried them all: Rift, Arc, Neverwinter etc… None of them really captured my attention until a friend introduced me to GW2. It took me a while to understand it as a new player because the mechanics are so different to other MMOs, but once I got to grips with it, I was hooked. The classes, the world building, the PvE content, the mount system - even the STORY (omg the story…) So good… I love guild wars 2 ❤
Nope, not worth it this 2024, outdated. Anet just want your money. If you will report a players whos being disrespectful or harass you, they don't do shit. But if its about something that hurts their income like sending gold to friends or other players then they banned you with no further explanation. Take my advice guys look for other games or regret.
Hey Amazing job with this video! I am a Tolkien & LOTRO content creator. I really enjoyed your Postive showing of how Amazing this game is. I try to show that on my channel. with Voice overs & Guides. I really thought you did an amazing job! keep it up! Cheers!
Been playing off and on since the second beta. I have met so many in game friends in that game. The landscape, the music, the stories and the fellowship with other Tolkien and MMO lovers is unmatched. I’ve tried many other MMOs. There just isn’t any other game when you take into account the overall experience, that comes close to this game IMO. Long live LOTRO!
15 years and still playing, bought a steamdeck and have put over 100 hours on it just on the deck. Cell phone hot spot is way more than enough to run this game perfectly. Can't recommend this game enough.
Uh, FF14 does not allow you to "mix classes", and even when it involved a multiclass mechanic, it was very key specific "role" abilities. That's not multiclassing.
Nice video, love the way how you added some side facts to each item. Also, worth to mention, you actually realized/mentioned the death effect on the Chak (tho bee has one as well) Some feedback: You may skipped them by intention, but they deserve a small reference when talking about "most expensive items": "Golden Ticket" available at Lyhr: 3500g - its an item, even if its just part of a collection that gives you the golden version of the "I am rich you know" title "Golden Sink" available at Fion: 10.000g - its Guild Decoration, tho still an item in theory and only available through april fools Those are definitely missing (and released when the video was made, verified that): Imperial Everbloom Sprout - another 4.5-5k infusion Mystic Infusion: 6000g Permanent Crafting Station: 8000g - instead of the Bank Contract Also, since you just picked one Weapon of Generation 1 (ignoring Eternity) and one of Generation 3, what about the Generation 2? They are not tradable, yes but crafting price is higher than the others (even when just buying from the TP). Also, same for contracts, a mention about kinda "just picked one of the category" would have been good to make clear "there are other weapons of this generation / other contracts that are worth similar" Same could have been done with the Infusions: Showcase queen bee, but add mystic/everbloom/... other kinda same value infusions somewhere in a short preview on the screen Gen2 Weapons, Golden Sink and Golden Ticket can be skipped tho, then its not "Most Expensive Items" tho, instead it should be "Most Expensive tradable Items"
I believe you forgot the Endgame World vs World where a server fights against 2 other servers. Massive battles. Have not seen it in any other game yet.
class comparison if you wanted to try GW2 from wow. Light Armor: Mesmer= Arcane mage/rogue/shadow priest Elementalist= Fire and Frost Mage/Shaman Necromancer= Warlock/Unholy DK Medium Armor: Engineer= Hunter(traps and tools aspects) /enhancement shaman Thief= Rogue/shadow priest/Monk/MM hunter Ranger= Druid/Hunter Heavy Armor: Revenant= Death knight/Demon Hunter Guardian= Paladin/Priest/Windwalker Monk Warrior= Warrior
like you dont have fun from game until u got 720 mastery and around 500mil on balance, and you can offer that all with swipe card, ofc you can do same in other mmo's like wow, but in wow u having fun while power up your char by yourself, in albion if you wanna have fun without swipe, you need to suck and suffer 10h per day for a month's, until you get that 720 and silver for sets
Played wow since Early BC late Vanilla, dropped off during BFA. Went to gw2. I miss Azeroth but Ive met so many more friends and regular groups running through tyria.
You know, I've been looking for a game with rich lore since we're about to lose Wrath of the Lich King a second time and I can't believe I never realized GW2 was sitting right in front of me this whole time
Lotro is a remarkable game. It's so incredibly extensive, with an amazing Epic story, extraordinary continuous landscapes (without loading screens) with incredible viewing distances that make you feel like you're in a genuinely vast world to explore.
Played wow, i was obssesed with warcraft universe when i was in highschool 20 years ago. I instaled GW 2 in 2022, being very board of every mmo i played. I was so hyped by the first 40 hours , that when i got the mount trial i imediately bought the first two expansions HoT and PoF. I grinded so much gold for the utilities for my account, that i got very very burned out under 500 h of total gameplay. It quit and got back this year. All my hard work is there, ready to be used, all my achivements are there. The world stayed the same, even though i am 2 expansions behind. My equipement is still worth 100%. I have so much to do, not to mention what is coming, definitely the nr 1 mmo for me, the best one i have ever played. Other mmos may be superior in many other relevant ways, like beter pvp, better graphics, bigger communities, or much more spot light, but Guild Wars 2 is the only game that respects my interaction with it, even if it is a quick 5 min log in for the dailies, or hours upon hours of fun gameplay. And the fact that you can have premium currency with ingame gold it makes it so so so much worth it, especiallly bcs the premium items are centered around utility, not the pay to win classic avennue. You get utility for your account, utility that provides you with better ways of enjoying the time you spend with the game. It is my retirement mmo 🥂
With only 30$ upfront you have all content in WoW meanwhile GW2 is very expensive you need spend 200$ for all expansions and dlc. If you are new player WoW is cheaper to getnl unto.
I play Albion online it's a really good PvP game 3000 hours put in I do corrupted dungeons which is 1v1 PvP environment if you die you lose everything same with killing and I am rank 11 honestly recommending it it's not pay to win but you have to be good in PvP good luck
Mastery lvls and silver grind kills that, if albion have crystall arena 1v1/2v2/3v3 or any other type of ladder where you can increase your rating and fight with only losing rating albion would be number 1, but rn it has not good competitive lvl (u can look on popular streamers like KoKo - he is not good mechanical player but have enough swipe card to offer high ip sets and make that stupid videos) P.S. eng not native language
In WoW you can NOT pick what expansion to level in with your first character. This made me quit, because i hated the aztec themed troll temple zone. 35 levels and i was in the same stupid zone. It got boring quick. I also noticed the same 5 dungeons kept popping up in the dungeon finder, why? WoW has hundreds of dungeons and you give me the same 5 over and over.
