$20? I think putting something so cheap on a Harley Davidson invalidates its warranty and sets off an alert at HD HQ. 🤣 On a more serious note, be careful about relying solely on these for security. A soaking wet cloth (to dampen the alarm noise) and a hammer, will make short work of these cheap ones. There's one that looks more like a really big padlock, that also has a movement sensor and alarm, that's better. Less prone to shattering when hit with a hammer at the very least.
Good stuff I was just thinking, as I was watching your video, that if you only wanted them on dome of the time, it might be easier to take the guards off of the brackets. That way, it would probably be quicker, to get them on and off. And each time that you do, you don't have to re-adjust your mirrors, which takes a little while. Mine have the screws, so it takes longer. You could make some custom pieces of metal to cover the brackets. They could have screws attached to the backs, leaving the fronts flat for custom designs to go on. Also, you should wear gloves, even when you have the handguards. They're also for protecting your hands, if you go down. The handguards can do that. I certainly wouldn't my hands torn up. I definitely want to get some of the Memphis Shades handguards, but I wouldn't want them on my Sportster, all of the time, so I might get what I mentioned made.
Yea you probably could remove them like that also too. And with the gloves you should wear gloves but with 30 years of riding I never wear gloves and less it was raining but that me I just never felt comfortable wearing gloves for some reason but yes you are right about wearing them you should wear them in case you do lay it done. Thank you for your comment.
