Does that are in the 18 month old range always come into heat first. A good freeze always helps but it’s the length of daylight and moon phase that seems to be the biggest trigger to does coming into heat
Wolf’s, cougars and people like you guys who shoot anything with bone on its head are the reason there are barely any deer left in eastern Oregon. Sad.
I enjoyed following the hunt! Thanks for sharing it. If all you love is antlers then hunting eastern Oregon is not the best place to be. It’s still a blast and awesome country! I look forward to getting back there in a year or two….
Thanks for sharing your family hunt! This is the stuff that makes life enjoyable! Seeing game and having options to shoot or not shoot, a nice camp, beautiful country, and a chance at a nice buck.
I love hunting. It's my life long love. 😢 This in my opinion was not a good hunt. Please learn the limitations of not only your equipment but yourself and hunt within those parameters. Videos like this make our entire hunting community look terrible. Please continue to hunt but learn the lessons from this hunt respectfully. To future success and happiness. 😊
@adventure5413 we appreciate the feedback & get it. It is our duty as hunters to be as ethical as possible & we practice alot & know not only our own limitations but that of our equipment as well. We have always stressed that to our kids as well. Unfortunately there are factors that come into play. We would of never taken the shot if we didn't feel it was within our limitations. Carry Primitive Mist Inhaler instead of the one shot epipen. You will get the exact same amount in one spritz from Primitive and you'll have many more sprites , contrary to the very expensive 1 shot bullshiot epipen. I'm super allergic as well and liquid benadryl and primitine has saved me more than once out in the woods.
