I’d be the main character too if when I was his age the kids at my school were that bad at dodgeball. Man they sucked. Sure that kid had some good throws but they weren’t even that fast.
I live in Australia and remember back in year 9 I was the last one standing for my team. In our version of dodgeball, it is the same but, there are 3 cones/pins on each side of the court and the objective is to knock down all 3 of the opposing team's cones. You are out when you are hit by a ball on the full, and to get back in, one has to hit the opposing basketball backboard. If you make a basket, your whole team is back in. (Getting to the point of the story...) Also, if you catch the ball on the full, the person who threw the ball is out. My teammates kept on getting out and then back in until it was all up to me. There was also one girl standing from the opposite team. Luckily, all of the balls were on our side of the court and my teammates were so supportive and encouraging me to knock down a pin. :) I threw that one ball and the girl threw the ball back. I kept my eyes on the ball and... caught it! I won for the team! After that, I couldn't contain my happiness and the team ran towards me giving me high fives and saying good job!
Not sure if many people will believe me, but my pe class did a thing where they would see how many people we could take on at once, it would start at 1v1, then to 1v2, and so on and so on. if you lost though and got hit. you would lose and it would be the next persons turn. the big strong kid got to 1v5. Guess what i got to? 𝟭𝗩𝟭𝟰. I lost only cause my pe teacher made me quit and since that was almost all the kids in pe class. I remember all the people running up to me congratulating me, all the girls tried getting me to like them but nah, i remember the big strong kid wasnt mad or anything. he was fairly impressed.
