I have a few questions. 1. How well does it compare to Lithium ion batteries to cold? 2. Is it safer when punctured? Compared to l-ion? 3. What are the current cycle rates?
I bet Tesla are loving this after they have spent and are currently spending billions investing in plant to make an inferior battery of a totally different design 😂
No, they understand the speed of innovation. This is a battery that is in development. Tesla are in the production phase of a battery that exists now. There is a massive difference. What people don’t want to understand is that for this battery even IF it is perfect and has no downsides to be in a production car that you can buy is in the most optimistic case 5 yrs away and much more likely more than 10. Building a new battery with new tech in a lab is hard. Tooling up a factory to build millions, at super high quality is really really hard. Then there is a massive hurdle in terms of government certification, safety testing etc etc etc. people see a flashy video and think they will be able to buy it next year. Nope. Tesla are not the least bit perturbed. In fact they are probably quite excited
EQXX is using solid state battery by ProLogium. News will reveal more details in February. Solid state battery will come much faster than most people would think. Mercedes will announce its solid state battery powered ev in the winter of 2024, and deliveries will come the following year. Then, Tesla is doomed . New 🔋 has nothing to do with Mercedes. It is the technology from ProLogium.
