What a song. What’s fantastic about th he chaos in this song is the progression. It’s such a battle of the flesh and our mind for purity and holiness that we constantly cry and battle and I’m sure all of us in bed just crying out seeking to fully understand walking with Christ. But then the very end it’s just all the members in standing in silence and at peace like we all do at the end of our hard nights feeling the warmth and embrace of the Holy Ghost. This song is a phenomenal representation of trying to walk in Holiness. Well done.

I was introduced to this album when my friend went into the christian book store with his girlfriend and came out with this absolute gem! This song along with the breath before the plunge were absolute game changers and probably in my top 10 of all time in any genre!

Maybe dumb here , and I’m asking an honest question in good faith but I heard this song was “controversial” and the comments said it tackled a heavy topic. When I read the lyrics I just read it as them disavowing and dunking on Catholics. Can this please be explained even a little bit?
Hey mate, as the writer of the song I can tell you there is no theological bias here. I'm a born and bred Catholic, went to catholic school, college and university, and my family is till very much involved with the church. This song is a story of how I and my family grew up in the catholic church and the monks and nuns would physically, emotionally and SA abuse the children. They would then gaslight the kids into believe they were at fault and sinful thus making them pray on the rosary to Mary for salvation. Only for the abuse to continue. Its a deeply personal story. It's a story told from a personal perspective of a truth at the time. There is general abuse across all denominations, ours just happened to be in a Catholic one. Thank you for taking the time to seek the truth when alot of people have jumped to conclusion
@@PaddyW106 I am sorry for the abuse you and people you knew suffered. I of course did not know that and am grateful you have been able to find an outlet for that pain as well as (and more importantly) remain a person of faith. I personally am recently converted to the Anglican and church have never suffered any sort of abuse but have grown to appreciate aspects of the Catholic Church in liturgy so my assumption was only based on a few lines. Thank you so much for taking the time to explain this to a total stranger when you did not have to.

Wham! Mic drop! That's how it's done boys! Simply amazing ❤ as a follower of Jesus Christ our Savior and being a metal head it's hard to find metal bands that align with my beliefs and I've definitely found it in this band Holy Name! I'm a recovered addict through the Lord's guidance and grace, it was only Him, I might've done the foot work but He helped me walk! I have found my way 🥲🥹❤ I have almost 7 years clean and I'm gonna keep going, whatever comes my way I know I can get through it with the help of my Jesus and His Holy Spirit! I'm just beginning my journey! I'm now singing on the worship band at the church I attend, which has been amazing! I only wish we'd sing songs like this 😅 but it's all good I'm praising my King Jesus any which way I can!
