We've been around since 1983, serving Mid-Michigan's hobby needs. We believe that our job doesn't end when you walk out the door - it's just begun. We are happy to give advice, guidance, and service to everyone who walks through our door. We've always specialized in the radio control aspect of the business (cars, airplanes, helicopters, and boats), but we also supply local hobbists with plastic models, trains, dollhouse supplies, coin and stamp materials, hobby tools, slot cars, and art supplies. We have one of the area's best selection of puzzles, combining national brands with local manufacturers. We offer repair services for radio control vehicles as well.
FYI: This page's Google+ account is not active; we do have a Facebook and Twitter account though!
When setting up the esc from green to Red it stays on Red it doesn't blink to set throttle and break it only stays on Red.from off to on it doesn't blink to set driving mode.please help I'm New to the hobby.thanks
Nat playsalot It sounds like it might not be calibrated. Check out our video on calibrating Traxxas ESCs and see if that helps any. If not, I’d recommend taking your Rustler VXL into your local hobby shop or calling Traxxas for support. Good luck!
Usually it is in LiPo mode and Sport Mode, if purchased separately. If installed in a vehicle, the battery mode depends on the vehicle, but it is still supposed to be in Sport mode from the factory.
Sport. Youll know if its in race mode because it won't have reverse. I rarely use race mode because its to much using lipo. The car does a backflip from a stand still if you dont have a wheelie bar.
Roger Hello I have a quad w/ gimbal with 5010 360kv motors 16" prop and 8s afro esc .....i have arround 6 or 7 lipos cells 8000mah but only 3C discharge rate... I wonder if I can make a 6s pack with this cells and have good flight time an tolerable performance (gimbal and gopro onboard) because remember im 8A" 3C only"......OR buy another kind of lipo pack.... If current remains 24A (3C 8A) will increasing cells improve performance and flight time? or will demand more Amps? PD :The cells are from an old ebike bottle battery...
Thanks a lot for the precious info. in www.rogershobbycenter.com/ on LiPo batteries. Got a question though. It says that the optimum storage single cell voltage for LiPo batteries is 3.8v. But the tiny LiPos I recently bought (5 nos.) are rated at 3.7v. Also, I dont have any means to measure the voltage across cells. I do use a simple charger though, which cuts charging to individual LiPos after fully charged.
+Stanco fulman The rating on the batteries is the nominal voltage - it has no bearing on what the proper storage voltage is. Just as a fully charged LiPo cell is 4.2v, the correct storage voltage is 3.8v. As for your other comment, I'm not sure what you're getting at. If you have a further question, please email us (info at rogershobbycenter dot com) and we'll reply to you there; RU-vid isn't something we log into that much, and we can reply much quicker via email. Cheers!
Wow, nice control around those trees. Very smooth and talented video that shows what this amazing quad can do. I'm waiting for mine to arrive... One of you guys must be a fire fighter! Doubt they'd let you get that close otherwise. :)
So cool. I need to get a rpm bumper I might go their this weekend. I love this store and would highly recommend it to any hobbiest the service is extremely helpful!
