Brought back great memories from an amazing time in Arklow for local musician's, the Town had so much talented musicians back then, great seeing some old faces, sadly some are not with us Gouche,Bonga,Peter all the lads/ladies gone before their time thanks for the good times Rip☘️💚
Beautiful. Great song and people singing together. Reminds me of my school days long ago and singing together with my classmates. Steve and Kitty diffley
Remember Arklow in the 70's. The harbour was alive with work, the fishing, the pottery, Tyrrell's. The town busy with locals & holiday makers, Land being farmed. Fuck the EU, ... Progress me Bollix ! ... We had F-all, But it was Our F-all.
Are you playing thru the DB es1203 on this video? If yes which mixer are you using to plug in your brother’s guitar and vocal? I’m seriously thinking of buying the es1203 as a one man band acoustic guitarist. Thank you, Edward
No we were using a dynacord desk with celestian speakers.. have a look at the new ev evolve 50m.. it has an 8 channel dynacord built in desk with Bluetooth.. very lightweight and packs a serious punch in a 200ppl venue.. here in Ireland the price is €2400
@@footstomper1 I play in loud crowded bars and I’m looking for crystal clear audio with lots of headroom. Would you say the DB es1203 is better than the Evolve 50 or vice versa? I totally trust your advice you’re a great player and performer with the right understanding of how to sound super good. P.s. that Chris Isaak tune sounds nice thru the DBes1203. Last question: Is the DBes1203 your “go to #1 system or what system is it …?
@@ironman1290 I think the ev’s have an amazing quality and that’s the one I use at my gigs.. the DB’s are around 40% cheaper but they have a 2.5Kw amps and you can split the tops into stereo.. I only got to use them a few times as I damaged my back and couldn’t lift them into the car.. they have a 3 channel built-in mini desk with Bluetooth.. compared to the ev evolve 50m, has an 8 channel dynacord desk with Bluetooth built in… Overall I would choose the Db 1203… it’s a hard decision to call.. hope that helps
@@footstomper1 Thank you brother. I like the DB having 2400 watts and it’s a solid wood construction. As you know being an acoustic guitarist me I’m looking for clean headroom and superb equalization. I wanna to turn up at loud crazy bars and have no red limit lights blinking. How’s the feedback buster work on that first channel for the acoustic guitar? I’m sorry that I’m bothering you with all these questions! Slainte
As Scots my family and myself have spent many a day on the Mull looking over to the coast of Ireland, spent many a holiday there as well. Kintyre is a beautiful place.😊
Absolutely wonderful. Thanks to everybody thanked by footstomper1, thanks to everybody else who participated, and thanks to footstomper1 for sharing this wonderful video. I also echo the comments of all the people posting positive comments, with an extra-loud echo of the comments of 2tfts, Kathleen Bremer, and Muriel Orsborn.
The song was written by Paul McCartney and wings… It was released in November 1977, and was number one for nine weeks. The song is called MULL OF KINTYRE
The Mull of Kintyre is in Scotland, not ireland. Paul McCartney lived in Kintyre for a while and wrote his Mull of Kintyre song about the place. Its absolutely beautiful there and the road leading to the lighthouse is hair-raising with hairpin bends and a steep gradient.
What a lovely representation of musical community meitheal! So wonderful to see inclusivity in action! Really enjoyed your performance! From a Chicagoland musician 🎵🇮🇪🎵
Hi Footstopmer, I am playing Helix in stereo for my covers bands and am looking at the acoustasonic. How are you running the acoustic sounds? Just with Mic Pre in Helix and no cab modellers? I have a 212 FRFR and a single 112 FRFR. Cheers from Austalia.
Scottish huh?.. written by an English man.. sung by an English band .. not sure it makes the cut as a Scottish song any more than Irish , Dutch or Maltese lol
