So, what engine is in the car? The offset weight flywheels are made as an alternative to having the balance weights in the torque converter (or the flywheel in the case of manual trans). I assume you can still buy the correct weighted torque converters, but I admit I have not checked in decades. I have to disagree about painting the bumpers. The unique look of the big loop bumpers front and rear was lost in the front by painting the bumper black. I think it would be a mistake in the back, too. Road Runners had option urethane covered bumpers in 1971. AMX's had them in 1969 in a special model. But these were usually ordered when then the cars were red. Even so, it is debatable whether the looked better than chrome bumpers or just interesting because the were different.
