Vodokar is temporarily back, woo. Unless I make some sort of crossover game between my different series/games or a snakes and bones game that takes place in the past, Vodokar probably won't appear in a game again given that he is one of like two characters to have died canonically(beat rise 2 to see how that happened I guess). Wanted to rip the band aid off and do this one early since I knew it would be a hard one. Vodokar is one of my favorite characters and the parts that make up his design aren't hard to draw, but it is incredibly difficult to make the drawing radiate Vodokar's energy. Without basically just copying the rise 2 version directly (which is something I've clearly refused to do in this series), it is incredibly hard to convey vodokar's indomitable narcissism and sinister nature. I'm still not entirely sure I did it but I do like this version. Vodokar's second phase(which I will not be doing in this series) would be far easier to do since his face is closer to that of other characters and he has a neutral expression. Decided to do phase 1 since the phase 2 fight did not canonically happen (though the form is something he can canonically take) and phase 1 is far more indicative of Vodokar as a character. Glad to finally have another excuse to draw my favorite villain from the series and favorite final boss from any game I've made. I kind of regret killing him off, but I am sticking to it for now. I like the direction Screenor's character is going to take as a result of this.
3:09 Oh look, Marrow's non-existent cousin General Calcium For real though surprised that an endless mode was even made but I'm intrigued about what comes next.
Now there’s only one character slot left, at least in the base game. Dunno who it’s gonna be, thinking something with a clockwork/steampunk/mechanical vibe
From my point of view, we had openly discussed ideas in discord, everyone contributed to shape this exciting new idea of what can possibly be done in a mere month update. We wanted to give reasons for players to enjoy the best parts of the game such as multiplayer marathons, survival mode and coop pub fighter runs. We would place secrets around, this would make interesting community chemistry and let discord become the centre of exchanging the latest information. it was always gonna be rushed from the start, but I still think that first update revitalised bm2 more that anything possible, and the next year we did a Christmas double whammy update of both bm2 and maximus 2. The maximus 2 side got 1 new character of higher quality just like you said, and the bm2 side we went for something greedier and more exciting. I personally wanted to play m2 update more but im not always right since on launch day it was a landslide, everybody went to bm2, its not what I wanted but the people had spoken. Villains had near complete designs and movesets so they were meant as an excellent way to leverage content, it was never about creating a unique new quality character, that would take about 1 month just for one character like leratte in m2, it was indeed rushed but you hv no idea how hard I worked during those 1 month crunches, pretty much every day was a double shift, doing 3 villains a day, for boss rush Simon was much too busy on the new year content so I drew the 7 stage areas myself in a week, and then all the villain and coding after that. I apologise for getting heated every time villain updates get mentioned, its time I moved on. Having said that I do agree that bm2 wont benefit from more villains, last Christmas I did what any normal dev would do, fk all and enjoy a holiday, and then Anis tells everyone to leave bcos we dont care or listen to them (this after I completed a long list of his suggestions for m2 arena) oh well hes just a kid, I appreciate his time spent on that, but I dont think he appreciates mine.
Is it bad that there are some villains that actually have potential to be more interesting and unique but the quality isnt what the expectations of the community should be thinking? Also damn, i didnt really think that the titles of anis's vids were meant to be clickbaity but yeah, it is pretty weird that it isnt specified that my work is a mod Also i agree, pyro keeps going into my vids giving me character suggestions even though i said that multiple times to him that im not a dev. So im just ignoring him.
My response as a look back at that first video: I swear I can speak english normall y I just can't play a game and talk at the same time. I suck too much at games to share my concentration on multiple topics. But I do still agree with past Secay. Multiplayer still isn't good and it's worse in Maximus 2 because enemies just deal a lot more damage, doesn't help that they start teleporting. I'm sure whoever reads this has encounter an unkillable ozwuld which doesn't take any damage from you because it's not actually there but it's still damaging you and killing you. Recently I've also found out that you can take damage when joining an ongoing game and even be killed before you can even see anything. I do wanna clarify though that the game is very balanced in my oppinion it just doesn't seem like it is because the enemies get an edge due to connection issues aka LAG. P.S. 13:20 Mecha stop slamming your desk, it is feeding back into your mic!

I'll talk more about from the waste 2 and what I've been up to(both in regards to RU-vid and Discord as I've been radio silent on both) at a later date. Regarding ftw 1, it is almost complete. The non optional content left is just additional cutscenes and a few unique boss themes. I still have a decent amount of optional content to work on, but the main game is basically done. The next video will either be a release trailer for ftw1 or a video showing off screenor for takeover and adding him to the public version.
Regarding why this game is going to be drastically different from its previous iteration, it comes down to rise 2 existing. Many of the ideas from the original takeover made it into rise 2 and while that games identity is very distinct from what the original takeover would have hypothetically been, I think this game still needs to separate itself from rise 2.
This game you only can obtain importing (buying) from japan in some online stores you can find it but dont hope a localization this will never happen 3ds is unfortunatly dead
I do like how you made the thumbnail ngl, funnily enough i recently started emulating some old games but specifically romhacks. Personal fav of the N64 has to be smash remix (after doing something specific you can even play as MasterHand lol). Keep up the good work 👍
This is only the mandatory bosses. Any optional boss is excluded. I may do a video with all of the optional bosses later. Dunno what compelled me to make this video, but I did. This was run on an emulator btw. I typically wouldn't emulate a game if I didn't have a legal way of playing it, but this game was Japanese only on a system that's been dead for years so... seven seas boys. I do own legitimate copies of yokai watch 1-3 and blasters 1 on an unmodded 3ds though.
Willow is a hybrid fighter. You can either camp, snipe and support while keeping your distance like Bishop, or be super aggressive with her swan dive, knee grapple and block talent like Otus.
