@@denizhanozyurek It might not be that easy after 20th or 21th since it has no easy-access cut away like ESP Arrow. But still, the neck is really thin and It’s kinda acceptable.

Such a nice review! Luckily I've bought a XPT700 RCM in Istanbul few years ago which is not used and waiting for me in its original hardcase. I upgraded the nut with Gotoh and replaced the Edge III bridge with black one. Because the original Cosmo Black hardware was rusting due to my sweaty hands and the weather conditions. Anyway, I'm looking forward to replace the tuners and the pickups with high quality ones. I'm pretty happy with it to be honest for now, but it's gonna be such a beast after the final upgrades! :)

All right I know I had a beer so and here's a question I've been collecting guitars for like 20 years working a pawn shop, anyway my house wet up in flames that this Northern California Park fire and I grabbed five guitars on my way out,one is the king Pro-V Dave mustaine silver sparkle literally there's not a scratch on it all original.. what do you think it would go for? I can't find any online.. and obviously you're a super megadeth guitar geek,You seem the most experienced with all the Dave mustang guitars,, so what do you think bro..?I would totally appreciate your input.. Thanks!😢 Original hard shell case . Cases and all that great but the guitar doesn't have a scratch I can find not one dent in it... Thanks, keep up the killer videos!

Man, I felt sorry for you, I wish you the best about the tragedy you mentioned. About the KV Pro and it's price, it depends on the buyer instead of the seller. The genuine KV1s are going for 10 - 12K on Reverb. I'm also aware of the cheaper listing from 10 years ago but these days there are 2 - 3 listings online and all of them are nearly 10 grand. According to this, the KV Pro is another "limited" item and I saw lots of listings from 2-3 to 6-7K USD over time. Probably I wouldn't sell mine under 3-4K at least but if no buyer's okay to pay collector's price, you can request all you want but it won't happen. I recommend it's a discontinued item with increasing value over time. If you don't need cash asap, hold it, or if you need cash, try to sell another replaceable item. You know, I have a USA Select KV2 and this Mustaine, and in the time of need, I would sell KV2 first because it's from 2014 and I can purchase an equivalent KV2, even from the hands of the same builder. But since both the factory and endorsement are long gone, nothing can replace these KV Pro's. But the selling is unavoidable, I recommend you to start from 6-7 and decrease it if necessary. Hope it helps!

@@WrathVault agreed 👍 it's irreplaceable, and has nowhere to go but up, nowhere to go but up... Sometimes when I'm drinking bad ideas sound like good ideas.. and considering it doesn't have a scratch on it... That's impressive for a flying v style guitar... And I've seen ones 4 or 5 years ago and they wanted three or four grand for one that had chips out of the headstock and the V points... I'd be better off working at McDonald's and saving this Jackson.... I'd be better off getting rid of stuff that's readily available... 🤔 My motto used to be never sell your guns or guitars.. ok.. thanks for the pep talk! I'll chill ... Friends don't let friends post gear on reverb drunk! Thanks!

This or boss katana go?
@WrathVault
@WrathVault 10 дней назад
It depends, If you're looking for a plug-and-play solution on vacation, road, etc. then Katana Go is superior due to its compactness but I would prefer P2 if I'm looking for a small unit that can replace multiple items on my pedalboard. Many people enjoy analog FX pedals but it's hard to find proper amplifiers on every stage or rehearsal studio. You can replace the amp/cab/mic section with some cool features like tuner, looper, etc. on your rehearsal/stage setup. Doing this with Katana Go can be challenging, you know, a wireless device amongst all those metal boxes. That's a risk I can't take.

@@luciansatanas5664 It’s easy on new productions, 3 letters for factory, 2 numbers for year and the rest is model code etc. But letter + 5 digit is kinda tricky, still you can find some info in here. www.essexrecordingstudios.com/blogs/news/jackson-guitar-serial-number-lookup-usa-guitars-how-to-date-identify-jackson-guitar Also a funny info. Have you ever said “Why every MIJ dk is from 1998” while hanging on Reverb. It’s because most of the people have no idea about decoding their 5-6 digit serials. I would say that any of the concerns about this guitar’s issues could be addressed with a few additional upgrades that would still make it much cheaper overall than a full-on premium.
@WrathVault
@WrathVault 20 дней назад

@ordohereticus3427
@ordohereticus3427 20 дней назад
@@WrathVault Sure, but would these be issues with the guitar itself (like wood falling apart), or something like tremolo and frets not being good? Because I meant upgrading those in my comment. Buying a quality Schaller tremolo and getting the guitar regretted with a new setup should deal with those two issues and probably within the $500 range.
@WrathVault
@WrathVault 20 дней назад
 @ordohereticus3427 Let me explain it in detail. You went to Sweetwater and purchased a KVXMG for 800 USD and spent another 500 as you mentioned for bridge and frets. Now you have a guitar with a basswood body, laurel fretboard, fine pickups (EMG81-85), and a fine bridge for 1300 USD. All I'm saying is instead of spending 1300 on this, why don't you buy a 1000 USD Pro KV with mahogany or alder body, ebony fretboard, FR1000 (which will survive way longer than special), SD JB/59 and if you're not happy with the frets you can spend 150 - 300 for refretting and at the end of the day instead of Basswood/Laurel you can get Alder/Ebony with slightly better QC for the same price. Maybe slightly cheaper. Finding good examples for the X series is kinda hard compared to the Pro series and the price gap between them isn't logical. Also, I couldn't find the product on Jackson's official website but there was a KVX with Jackson-branded pickups for the same price so if you purchase a KVX instead of a KVXMG, just add another 200 - 300 for the SD, EMG, or a similar pickup set. To sum up, the "a few additional upgrades" feels kinda meaningless for the X series guitars. And it won't be labeled as a value when you're selling the product as used. No one prefers an X just because of its Schaller or Gotoh bridge when there's a Pro for the same price. The only acceptable way is finding a used X for a steal price and making those upgrades, but you can bump into a Pro for a steal price too :) Also, I meant the hardware issues, all the rust, unstable tuning, broken tremolo socket, easily worn-off frets, etc.

The KV-1 and KV-Pro is are different. The KV-1 is USA and the headstock is a little larger plus the pearl Jackson name inlays. People can way what they want about the new Gibson V EXP models. They had has some manufacturing flaws. But, a USA made guitar with neck binding, ebony fretboard, pearl inlays, Dave Mustaine pickups and a hard case is a good deal at under 3k. When many guitars made in the USA with these details would be 4k plus.
