Leaving every year to take on the 4000 mile+ challenge of driving an old vehicle from England to The Gambia. Via France, Spain, Morocco, Western Sahara, Mauritania, Senegal and then the final destination. En route you will encounter roads, No roads, Dust tracks, Mountain passes, Deserts and beach runs all in your car that was only designed to go to the local shops!. You will be surprised just how hardy you and your vehicle really are. A 21 day adventure with like minded lunatics all heading in the same direction. What could possibly go wrong?
The essence of the run is to have a lot of fun a make a bit of difference as upon completion your vehicle will be handed over to the Rotary club of The Gambia. All vehicle that have survived (and even the ones towed in) will be sold at pubic auction and the funds go towards local charities that get forgotten by the bigger funded groups. Well done you
