could you help me with a link for the smaller plug?? for a 2018 CanAm outlander i had ordered the bigger one thinking it was the smaller one i needed, i still installed it cause old one was rusted but i still need the small plug
@@chasintrail I totaly get it, but dont fell like it has to be perfectly edited. But who am i to say, i have never posted any video myself. Maybee i will one day ;)
No helmets? I have seen and done things on dirt bikes and ATVs when it can in handy, seen someone die on a 3 wheeler, he was not wearing a helmet…….it’s cheap insurance to wear one
Very true, applies to any activity in life. Technically there are more head injuries from walking, hiking, even working out… but it will be a hard sell to get everyone to wear helmets while walking.
Yeah we rode double for a while but I can play more or ride harder without a passenger. I do miss our double days a bit though because it was easier for us to communicate when both on the same quad.
Was this your first time riding an atv? It sure looked like it the way you were going up that hill halfway and back down near the begining. I kept saying just go up the hill lol.
I have a 450 grizzly but I’m keeping it and I might be buying a canam outlander 500 2023 from my cousin because he got a new canam 570 outlander the one I might be buying has snorkel on it
I have a 2023 570 outlander and it will go that fast as well. Man that thing hits 50 mph and it still has half a throttle left. I havent actually full throttled it yet im to scared too lol.
@@chasintrail me either sir! My favorite speed is between 30 and 40. Fast enough to have some good fun and still be in control of the dang thing. Haha once I hit 50 or higher it gets real intense real quickk.. I've owned 2 Yamahas. Still have one of them a Kodiak 400 and it stands still compared to that that Outlander I have now. Stay safe out ridin my dude!!
My wife has a 2021 Kodiak EPS 700. She loves it! She had a 2019 450 and she liked it but didn't like the gauge cluster, no diff lock and not enough power so she traded for the 2021 700. I'm taller and I have the Grizzly and love it ! I had a 2019 Kodiak 700 and it just felt smaller, plenty of power just small. I put on bar risers and a Grizzly seat and that helped but i test drove the 21 Grizzly with the 6% gear reduction and loved it so got it. The only thing I've done to the quads is put on Zillas on both, wheels on mine, whiskeybent tips on both. We tried the EHS tuner and they ride better stock. And i did the AIS delete on both, and winches on both. Yamaha is a great quad ! These are our 5th set of Yamaha. Ride safe 🙏
Yeah my wife still loves her Kodiak. I have asked her if she would prefer anything else, the answer is always no. I may end up putting Grizzly clutch weights in it eventually for the extra pep. Do you think the tuner was worth the cost?
@chasintrail No... the tuner made ours run terrible!! I put it on both and a MBRP muffler, they both ran bad, I emailed Eric and he said they don't do much for stock quads. I looked on Grizzly Central to see if anyone else had luck with them and everyone with 2019 up said they did nothing, a few said they put on air gauges and the newer Grizzly, Kodiak do Not run lean. A few people said made a hesitation or run bad. The muffler looks like it is for a 250, it's little and very obnoxious. I took everything off, changed plugs. These were both new and tuner fouled plugs. I blocked the AIS and put whiskeybent 1.5 45 degree tips on both. They both run great, I think blocking the AIS helps a lot to cool muffler down and we have no popping or anything. The whiskeybent tip sounds great, not as loud as the 2R tip. I think if I was going to do anything it would be a HMF muffler and their tuner, but I'm happy with how they are now. I can't keep front wheels down if I pin it from a dead stop and it brings up the front going over small bumps and obstacles. I love my Grizzly!
@@SuperDave-pe1zw Nice man thanks for then info. I have the same on mine, whiskey tip and AIS delete. I also added a 1.3mm shim to my clutch. Not a super huge difference but I can feel it and cheap to do.
@chasintrail I'll just leave mine stock, I put on aftermarket wheels and Zillas, I put on 8" light bars under our racks and wired them to the handlebar pod light, I disconnected the light and just plug into it, no cut wires so easy to put back to stock. We hunt a lot, coyotes, deer, hogs so we put a front bag on and that pod light is worthless then so just use headlights and light bar. My gearing is fine for hunting and trail riding and I kept 26" tires so I have plenty of power.
We are rather timid riders. However, the percentage of head injuries from ATV and small motor cycles is the same as the percentage from exercise equipment. May want to hit up the workout channels and let’s get them wearing helmets. Even higher in walkers/runners.
@@chasintrail I get it, its no fun to record if you havent got the feel for it. Im just checking in on you :) Dont feel like you have to bring something over the top special in a video, i realy enjoy a laid back vid too with that beutiful scenary a calm feel that you guys bring.
@@soulis1000 That’s good to hear man, I guess I get a bit discouraged. It’s always good to hear someone enjoys the videos. I actually have a couple I haven’t posted, mainly just too lazy to edit them 😅.
@@chasintrail Hehe well i hope you get to editing them some day when you feel up to doing it. Im sure im not the only one who likes your videos :D If you dont i'l remind you again in another 6 months ;)
Just got the 2024 eps se. Beautiful machine. Im a honda guy but wanted to try yamaha. Still in the break in process which to be honest kinda sucks. Also the heat in the storage compartment kinda sucks.
I have two important questions that I consider with every possible side-by-side UTV purchase. Noise Level & Engine Heat Shielding. Can you carry on a conversation with the passenger? And is there enough heat shielding to prevent a hot seat and cab area? Thanks
I can honestly say I have never felt any heat while driving this unit. Feels like a golf cart as far as that goes. I think the engine gives a low tone, definitely can hear what the passenger is saying. It’s never come to my mind. It is starting to squeak a bit now days.
I do the same thing you do but I do it with some family members and like 1 side by side and 2-3 fourwheelers I drive my uncles 2004 yamaha beartracker 250 suspension can hurt you on big bumps I know this because I flew off the fourwheeler from like 3 foot "ramp" and the suspension didn't take in the "ramp" and I flew of the side having like 14 bruises. I'm 12 if you wondering
why would you both not where helmits you said sketchy imagine your wife or girlfriend smashing her head of rock or the atv gets her ..... or yourself .... be smart use a helmet at least
More head injuries occur from walking in areas like this than riding by a large margin. May not hurt to target hikers or trail walkers about helmets if you are worried.
hello, I can't find what oil to use at the front unlike the rear where it is well marked (75w140). for the front, do you need a 75w 90 meter as you do, thank you
Yall ever have a problem where it bogs down due to the steam coming off the exhaust and getting sucked into the intake? I have a 2020 700 and everytime it starts steamin you can hear it sounds luke its weezing and looses power. Pull the air cleaner cover off and dry as can be.
Yeah I had the same issue with mine the first time I went deep. There is a tube ran down the frame to the right of the rear diff that connects to the roll over valve, that needs to be relocated to the front with the other vent tubes mine was packed full of mud after 1 ride. I did that and added an aftermarket exhaust tip. I have not had the issue since so may be worth a try, fairly cheap.
Nicely done Jenn! 👍Coming down that hill would be a pucker moment for a lot of riders. Hubby is patient which is a big help. Nice that you two are out riding together. I might suggest helmets, but you are adults and it's still mostly a free country. Ride on you two! 😎
Hi my name is leroy in this video where's this at what state is in go 4wheeling go mudding at message me back I want go there go 4wheeling go mudding go deer hunting there in deer season off season go mudding
Yea i wouldnt have the nerve to venture to far out in murky water myself, but looks like a great area for quaddng im sure. I have a 2023 Kodiak 700 SE , im curious where you got that mirror as i have been trying to find something or see if there are mirrirs that fit, it looks like that looks exactly what i would be looking for. Where did u buy that from? Does it come with clamps our you rigged something up yourself.
We got a little braver once we got the second quad. When we only had 1 I was much more cautious. I got these mirrors from Amazon, Kemimoto brand. It was a 2 pack, less than $20, had all of the clamps needed. If you can’t find them, let me know and I’ll look em up.
@@chasintrail Hi, thx very much for the reply and info, wow thats great , going to look on Amazon, that is perfect for what i want and need and will have ot fit seeing as we have the same quad. I agree on the second quad as im always hesitant to go in the swamps or water when im byself as well. Always braver and smarter when there is 2 or more. Subbed your channel and u got some good vids, enjoy them alot . Thanksagain and ill msg you if i have probs finding it on Amazon. Cheers!
