@@qarhsi great question, thanks for asking. So the reason why they don’t match in the fitting stage is because we use extra cloth to make the sleeves because we need to alter the jackets substantially so when we are finished finished, we then put the real sleeves on that have been cut using the updated paper pattern so we don’t risk having to order more cloth to make new sleeves between the fittings.
I like your movies but you shouldn't brag when we have our vets are military Heroes living in the street because of Biden and all the other things that Hollywood is helping do to the American people I'm not impressed George
Hello, lovely jacket there. I personally live in an extremely hot climate so I almost always opt for linen for a fabric and I do not line my jackets, period. Not even in the sleeves or the pockets 😅 When I started having interest in tailored jackets, I put a lot of emphasis on breathability so I communicated with my tailor just to see how much of the jacket structure can I REALLY let go of and their answer was “a jacket needs interlining at least in the lapels because we cannot roll the lapels without it, your jacket will simply never hold shape” So could you please satisfy my curiosity and tell me how much interlining is REALLY in that jacket?
DB suits come and go out of fashion but they have always had style! Having style is what it's about not chasing goofy pee-wee Herman tight suits that don't fit !
I fully agree: DB flatters and is, most of the time, preferable :-) I'm (ahem) a fuller around the belly and I like the DB coat or jacket to 'nip in' just a little. I feel good in DB.
I can definitely see that grey cloth making a lovely three piece, peak lapels on the jacket, double breasted waistcoat with wide peaked lapels, double pleated trousers with turnups. Oh I can see it now, what a sight it would be indeed.
If you want to convince people that double breasted suits are flattering, you should try wearing a suit that fits. The shoulders are too big, you look boxy, the trousers are to big and your legs look disproportionate to your upper body as a result Of your attempts to change your upper body shape. Double breastfed suits can look great, but the one you're wearing makes you look like your suit is too big.
His Jacket needs to be shorter and a DB Jacket with odd trousers just looks not right, it’s should be a complete suit if you are going to be wearing a necktie.
