The National Center for Pyramid Model Innovations (NCPMI) assists states and programs in their implementation of sustainable systems for the implementation of the Pyramid Model for Supporting Social Emotional Competence in Infants and Young Children (Pyramid Model) within early intervention and early education programs with a focus on promoting the social, emotional, and behavioral outcomes of young children birth to five, reducing the use of inappropriate discipline practices, promoting family engagement, using data for decision-making, integrating early childhood and infant mental health consultation and fostering inclusion.
Hi, Samira. All of our classroom resources are free to download, print, and share from our website, challengingbehavior.org/implementation/classroom/practical-strategies/
I'm looking for a French version of this, or at least with an option for French subtitles, to use with French-speaking educators in Nova Scotia. Is something like that available?
Great question! We don't currently have French subtitles. Due to NCPMI’s limited funding and resources as a non-profit, as well as the great diversity of communities and language needs, we rely on and encourage our partner agencies and the Pyramid Model community to translate and share our materials as best fits their needs. Should you decide to translate any of our resources, please read our translation page (challengingbehavior.org/terms/translations/) which includes a translation notification form and translation guidelines. We can then add your subtitles to the video. Hope this helps.
It's awesome to see the children picking up the block and putting the blocks on the shelves. When teacher encouraged them to clean up together as the ants did.
They are our 'solution kit' cards. They have been updated since this video. You can find them in resource library by searching 'solution kit'. challengingbehavior.org/resources/ They come in classroom and home versions, as well as English, Spanish, and other languages (home edition).
Thank you for sharing these strategies great for parents and teachers. It takes a lot of love, patient, understanding and dedication. The outcome is so satisfying at the same time, we are forming great citizens. :)
Needed this. My almost 4 yrs old beautiful Black son was is onto his 3rd attempt at preschool/ pre-k. I feel so reassured to know it's not just my boy.
Children do well with new skills this give the children the opportunity to make their own decisions and chang and correct it if they want to fix it if they need to, it's a effort.

This was great. I have tried to find the handouts mentioned on the website but I can't find the Pyramid with the decision making. I've clicked on the links provided and the links within them, but they bring you back to the webinars.
This was such a lovely webinar. Thank you for the insight. I wish I didn't read the comments but they highlight just how important this work is. Thank you again. :)
If you are referring to the image in the top right, it is in the webinar page, related resources. challengingbehavior.cbcs.usf.edu/Training/Webinar/archive/2021/12-15/5-Classroomwide-Practices-to-Improve-Behavior.pdf
I think when the child wanted to share his food the teacher said”she doesn’t want your food;”she should have said, that is nice you want to share your food but she has her drink. So he will not feel uncomfortable about his actions
