first buy some gloves second a slot for an impact screwdriver ( you hit it with a hammer) is quicker but the bolt modification was a good idea obviously. Good luck.
Nice job on the viewing deck, but cupboard doors wont hold up to the elements for long, Hope the cable ties were a temporary fix? Because if the wind catches the boards from underneath the roof rack, you may have a few flying doors! Good effort though!😂

Shame you’re parting with it. While some of your… learning curve…is on full display, your production values in creating videos are VERY high. You should either tweak the keywords you’re using, or keep plugging away at project vehicles and making videos like these. There’s no reason you shouldn’t be having thousands, if not tens of thousands, of views on each of these…. maybe more….

on the underbody, door sills, engine bay.... you spent a shedload of time removing any surface rust, etc. good job. to finish this up and protect the bare metal, get some cosmoline rust proofing spray and coat it well. this will creep into all the crevices and seal the metal from rust reforming. I use Amsoil HD metal protector. you got a good looking rig there. kudos.

Hey mate loving these videos. I'm in a similar position with my D1 and I'm slowly getting it more setup for my needs, and it's taken me to many long journeys around WA already. It's nice to see them getting used like they should be and looked after rather than going to the junkyard.

A tip for the future when you find nuts or bolts thats hard to remove, cut a slit on top of the bolt and use a screwdriver to get them out. Best if if you can find a screwdriver with a hexagonal shape on the shank as you can use a wrench to help out getting more torque.

I have to just say this and I appologise if I offend you, its not the point. But you really fucked up the bonnet job. You barily puot paint down, it looks like cammo. Otherwise nice work and lovely car. Keeo going and learning and youll be a pro soon.
It was very time consuming. You need to make sure you buy the correct adhesive spray. That the fabric you use is stretchy. One thing to note is to not over-stretch the fabric when applying. Overtime the stress on the fabric may result it in falling away from the adhesive spray. Best to just give it a go and realise it may not end up perfect 👍🏼
Loving the series. Keep up the good work. One wee suggestion… cut your losses with the paint job on the bonnet, use your angle grinder to cut it back to bare mental, use a good etch primer and paint it black (even raptor black) that way at least it isn’t trying to match and will look relatively even. Just my two cents ❤
I have been enjoying the restoration, since yesterday when your videos were suggested to me by YT... IMHO the painting process of the bonnet, if you are going to do it like that, not fixing it first, would be easier with a roller... easier, faster and the same amount of paint in every inch of the bonnet... anyway, keep up the good work! good videos!😄
