With your lift kit installed, were you dealing with positive or negative camber in the rear? I realize your OEMs were worn, as you pointed out. I'm just wondering what camber issue you may have been experiencing, as well. Thanks.
Alignment from factory has negative camber in the rear. When the lift kit / arms were installed, I had to get it aligned. I never had camber issues to begin with as that is the factory specs. It was just corrected after the lift so it wasn’t as harsh on the off-road setup.
I did not bleed. I believe there’s an option to “bleed” back into the strut itself if you’d like. I did not bleed because I did the refill process myself. I still have yet to upload that video. My apologies.
I had close to 150k or so on it when I tackled this job. The bushings were cracked and shot, end links were completely gone….so I’m not sure what a “long time” means.
I have a 4L Q7 and I've been wanting to make a set (I like to fab stuff) but the conical spacers are hard to source. I may end up just buying the set, even though it hurts my soul (if gingers had souls ;) ) My use is for opposite, to take some of the neg. camber out from being lowered. Stock, I already had a good bit of neg. camber causing premature tire wear.. Thanks for the install vid, was helpful~
What were your after-install driving impressions? I'm debating putting these on my wishlist of suspension parts for my 958. Although my aim is not an offroad beast but more so on-road increased handling performance.
They're great. My personal opinion? Being on air definitely absorbs a lot. They're not loud as some would say. I love to listen to music so I usually don't hear much of anything to include tire road noise even though there isn't much of that too. I was not going to replace the OEM arms with OEM again as the price difference was absolutely outrageous.
Hey there! I do not. I sold it back in early 2021. During the 3 years of ownership, I had zero issues with it. The new owner still has it almost 3 years later. I believe the only things he had to bad were the turbo and alternator, both being stock! It was an amazing vehicle!
Funny you mention that. When we first installed the lift, I did not order subframe alignment dowels because it didn’t cross our mind. We lowered the Cayenne onto the ground and realized how messed up it was. I ordered and then installed the subframe alignment dowels and it fixed / evened out the wheel to wheel opening.
Did you ever check your mileage before you put the rack on? My hdj81 is lifted 3” on 33’s but i don’t have a rack and on the highway i get around 22mpg but can get upwards of 24.5 if i stay at 100km/h
The day I drove home was 22. But after tossing on the rack and RTT, it definitely went down. I need to service my injectors and pump at some point as well.

I feel like you would enjoy the Ferrari f355 Mikey, last of the majority manual Ferrari models and it has a high revving v8 which while not as incredible as the v10 does mean it’s a bit more budget oriented.
