Were you just testing it out? Promo video to sell it? It needs to be mounted on a plinth for optimum audio quality. Sounds OK on my RU-vid/Tivoli radio set-up, but that is not too revealing...

Which records are as big as that platter? Gotta take out a college loan for this one I bet. I'll try for a technics sp series.

The 930 has a normal 12" platter with a bit extra for the strobe. The EMT 927 is the one with a 16" platter!

you are using 78 EQ on a normal stereo record, thats why it sounds so thin... but maybe you like it.

Are you using the orig RIAA,?? I dont remember if it was built in.

The EMT built-in preamp has RIAA and all the old curves necessary for playing 78's.
