Back in the mid-1980s there was one of these on the lot at European Auto Imports, the local Alfa Romeo / Fiat / Lancia dealer in San Jose CA. My cousin and I would visit it and sit in it, and wish we had the money to buy it! We were 13 or 14 years old, and probably could have gotten it for $1,500... which was a lot of money to us at the time. I sure wish I could go back and get it now! Seems like they said it had a Honda engine in it.
This guy knows nothing about cars, it's obvious. I have many sports cars including a 2013 Boss 302. She said it's a huge motor lol. Lol, this video is hard to watch!
Like your upgrades (especially the roof) as it "converts" it to the look on top of my 12 Performance C stripe. I got a bone stock 2012 in 2022 with only 7k miles. I did Ford Performance lowering springs, fog lights (that with switch mod run as day time running lights), MGW Race Shifter, radio upgrade (plug and play) with apple car play and back-up camera, blootooth. LED lights everywhere, but especially on side markers where orange is deleted on side lights and matches black in back with LED strip. The car is just a blast to drive and all updates are plug and play with OEM all in boxes. I also added the hood struts and last update will be the Ford Performance oil catch can (way overpriced) ...I did NOT upgrade air cleaner. Enjoy your Boss.
It's NOT a Lincoln. The Mark series were Continentals, a division of Ford Motor Company, sold and serviced by Lincoln-Mercury dealerships. It doesn't carry any Lincoln badging anywhere, including VIN, bill of sale, emblems, etc...In 1987 they became Lincolns to stop the confusion. Same for Imperials wrongly referred as Chrysler Imperial by many.
My uncle Roy Crowl owned in . But it was blue metallic with diamond in back passenger gate window i dont know how to explain .. but kept in garage only drove once a week .
I have this car also in PW #290, and love it. Keeping mine also :-) How do you like the MGW shifter? Did it make a sizable difference in feel and clarity in shifts? What version of shifter did you get, if you recall?
Makes a night and day difference. Physically it is beefier than OEM and lock out issues are eliminated. The throws are shorter and feel big time tighter/more positive. If you only do one mod this is the one for improved driveability.
@@scottthompson5855 Thanks Scott for the positive info. I'm hopeful to have one this summer. Looking forward to sharper shifts. It's really the only thing that bothers me about the car. Cheers :-)
The Diamond Jubilee Edition Mark V is a spectacular car!!! My dad bought one new, it was the same color as yours. These beauties have the longest hoods, when you sit inside it seems like the hood ornament is a mile away!!! They ride like you're floating on a cloud!!! Thanks for sharing this exciting video!!! I just subscribed!!! 👍👍🙂
Those have the longest hoods on them when you are sitting behind the wheel it looks enormous I use to have a 79. Excellent job narrating buddy I subscribed to your blog.
