Welcome to my channel! I am a seeker of beauty, lover of old things and a self-professed Anglophile. I live in a cozy 800 square foot house on the river in the far north of Idaho with my husband, 15 year old son and baby girl.
Here you'll find vintage, cottagecore and thrifted finds, baking, sewing, crafting, decorating ideas, gardening and foraging as well as ASMR videos and personal reflections.
We’re currently transforming our little house into a quaint “English” country cottage (at least that’s the goal!) and I’ll be sharing the process here. I hope this channel becomes a place for you to relax with a cup of coffee or tea when you need to unwind and take a little break.
You can expect 2-3 new videos a week. Always on Wednesdays and Sundays, occasionally on Fridays.
Thanks for subscribing and following along. I'm thankful you are here!
Annie, although Great Gramma Gay went home to Jesus a few years before I was born, I always felt like I knew her because of the stories your Great Gramma Dorothy and Gramma Eva (my mama) used to tell. I am so happy that those stories won’t end with your mama’s and my generation! One little correction, your Great Great Grampa Charlie fought in the Spanish-American War. He died when Dorothy was five, which would have been around 1913. Fun Fact: You recorded this video on July 7, 2024, which is your Great Grampa Dale’s (Dorothy’s hubby’s) 120th birthday! Love, Auntie Annie, Sr. ❤
I’ve been thinking about that! Unfortunately I don’t know a lot of the plants but in next week’s bouquet video I will do the research and include what types of flowers and plants they are. Thanks for the feedback!
I am a new subscriber and I absolutely adore your videos!! You look sooo much like my mum and that brings me such comfort as she’s across the country from me so I don’t see her often … watching your videos is like having my mom talk me to sleep … thank you 🥰❤️
That just warms my heart right up! Thank you so much for sharing that with me. I’m so glad you have found my videos comforting. My hope is my videos will be relaxing and like a big hug! ❤️❤️❤️
Yes! That’s why I love flipping through these old magazines. So much nostalgia. (I’m a 1984 baby. 😁) And hello to you from north Idaho! Love it that you found my channel. ❤️
Hey Annie,You have a lovely face so nice to see you, I think you just need to film where you focus your eyes in the centre I think. Lovely video thank you 😇😊
Hi! I definitely agree! Because I’m using my phone to record it makes it a little tricky to focus on the center of the camera. I’ll keep playing around with it! Thanks for the feedback!
Here’s Google’s answer: “Autonomous sensory meridian response (ASMR) is a scientific term that describes a tingling, static-like, or goosebumps sensation that can be triggered by specific audio or visual stimuli.” My personal answer is it’s a relaxed feeling some people get that is triggered by certain sounds including soft-spoken or whispered voices. A lot of people decide it ASMR tingles. It’s a very relaxing experience and can help people who struggle with anxiety and stress.
Hi Annie. I am new to your channel. I live in the UK in Kent. They call Kent the Garden of England and it is beautiful I live in Rochester which is full of little cottages and when Charles Dickens wrote a lot of his books. It dates back to the 1700s I believe anyway it’s old. I shall enjoy getting to know your channel 😇
Yes, so good! I love eating the marrow that way too. I mainly make the broth for when we gage colds because it’s so nice to have something warm and nutritious to sip on.
