SANDHURST, the only military academy in the world, where you get issued with a speech defect, have your chin surgically removed, given a shooting stick and a black labrador called snigger. Then, at the ripe old age of 18, get sent to the British Army unit with a new name, Jeremy, Rupert, or Rodney, and then have the piss taken out of you by a lance corporal 😂😂😂
I watched the sas clearing buildings when I was working there many years ago, their speed is unreal. They were clearing building in a third of the time it was taking us to go through
I have some questions about the headgear, if someone would be kind enough to answer them. I noticed one guy has a turban(?) but with a knot on the top and it's a bit forward on his head; what is the significance of this type of headgear compared to the other turbans? Are the other types of headwear (berets, etc.) allowed substitutes to the turban for Sikhs? Do Sikh troops wear helmets or are they only allowed to wear turbans? (I suppose this relates to the previous question but since helmets are for a very specific, utilitarian purpose, I made it a separate question.) Is there any significance in the colors of the turbans being worn?
Sikhs are pride honour of any country where ever they live and serve respect to Sikhs, UK and Indian govt should issue special commemorative coins and stamps on Saragarhi Battle and its Sikhs martyrs
The British established Gurkha regiment of their own. Yet over 100 years, after this battle, they never established a Sikh regiment in the British army. The British should consider putting a Sikh Regiment in the British army. Trust me, they would never regret it!
I will hopefully be joining the reserves at RAF Leeming in Yorkshire after the covid 19 outbreak has been dealt with and just wondered what the timeline was from the interview to the passing out day parade. Amazing how a group of uneducated Afganistan Muslim farmers wearing only a robe and sandles holding old rusty firearms from the 80s with no army training are taking on the best of the best USA AND UK Plus EU COUNTRIES all together with the best weapons and technologies. Islam is a tough enemy to defeat. Russia couldnt beat them either back in the 80s. Give up lads and come back home.
It's because they don't bother with rifle/sword drill in the reserve course, which is understandable given the amount they have to learn in such a short time. The regulars have much longer and can therefore spend more time doing drill.
im a girl and i was 13 when i joined. i thought that because there were so many boys i would just be left out but it was exactly the opposite. now, im so proud to say im an army cadet and im happy to tell people. dont be scared of joining because its a great chance to make mates even if ur a girl x
