What do you think about this video about the problems with these bikes? ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-7sOV7W567S4.html I have a 24 husky tbi with 15 hours and I am wondering if I really need to perform these checks? Or if this guy is just fear mongering haha
@@brandonwl personally feel he has an underlying deep seeded issue with ktm. As with all mass produced products, there are bound to be issues. He goes over some decent points, but nothing to be scared or worried about. Stay up on your maintenance and keep an eye on the bike. There's thous2of guys out there on 24s with zero issues but they get overlooked.
Hey, not to be that guy but 😆 could you edit out the part at 1:13 where the book shows? my name is right above yours and I don't really want my phone # on the internet
When you're riding at higher speeds and let off the gas do you hear and weird noises? When I'm on mine if I let off around 40mph it has these horrible noises almost like its super lean.
I do not, i am at 100 hours now, and preparing a 100 hour review. I have abused this bike in many races and rides. I will take the top apart and scope walls and piston and post up
@MrDirtrdr22 thanks for the reply I've got 40 hours on mine and it's been doing it since new. I just ordered an erm to reflash it and see if that helps out.
keep coaching her ...shes doing great .........love to watch the father daughter riding together .......................................just sayin .....................:)
Nah, abby just needs to get out of her head and twist the throttle. She gets that thing braapeed out at 35 in 3rd during practice and still has 4th gear. Than comes race and she jyst slows down.
man thats a long ride on a mini !!!! ..............................looks like fun ..........................................just sayin ..................................:)
Have you tried to make the fuel pump intake to suck fuel from the bottom of the tank? Guys are saying there a bunch of gas in the tank when the pump start to suck air
I have tried engineering some stuff to that affect. But personally now with 75 hours on the bike, i have never once had an issue, doing sny riding and not picking up all the gas. Even more so, everyone i ride with on 23's and 24s do not have any issues either.
Bought the Crosslinked swingarm guards for my 24’ hard enduro. Nice set up how they go on. We’ll see how they hold up. Was looking into the Emperor racing rad guard probably will go that route. Thanks for the video!
Its not bad. Its a gripper tho. But its not hard as a rock. I try not to sit down very much. But my rear connected with it for several hours during a 24 hr event and i have no complaints
Would you mind telling me the name of the tank? I just got a 2024 XC and I want to look into a bigger tank! And is the sxs skid plate the one with the metal rear hooks? Thanks!
It's not a huge increase in maintenance especially for the return on fun and ability you receive. Like, so what you may need to replace the top end after 2 years of riding? Mayne not. It's a small maintenance investment you can save up over time for. It seems everyone who would take a ktm but doesn't ever buy one is using the "Maintenance" excuse but its wayy over exaggerated. I have a 2018 500 excf with well over 10k miles and 400+ hours. The valves are all still in spec. The engine has been flawless. My buddies who have 500's and 300's all have great dependability.
@ScottRedmond-mz9ko my 2016 500 has 17,500 miles on the stock top end. I will be doing a rebuild this summer but it still doesn't burn oil and runs like it did 8 years ago.. if not better
You numbskulls don't know anything about motorcycles or 2-strokes or 4-strokes (thumpers) This bike is a 2-Stroke. The pipe is one give away...Even the sound is exactly how a 2 stroke sounds being lugged at lower RPM and out of the power band.
There are reports of guys at 100 hours on the 24 xcw right now, stock top end. And some say they are over 200 on the 23 xc 300. My goal with this bike take it as far as possible
@@fattie2550e new xcw are amazing. Ive been a Yamaha die hard all my life. But i needed a bike more suited for what i do. And Yamaha has yet to produce. The new TBI fuel injection on the 24 gets rid of every carb issue and TPI issue.
