Put simply, our vision for the Mining Engineering Department is to be internationally recognized as the world’s premier center for education and applied research in the diverse fields of mining and underground construction and tunneling. This vision spans across numerous interdisciplinary areas of study. Through collaborations with other Mines departments, academic institutions, government agencies, and industry, we are committed to expanding the international reputation of the department for excellence in education, research, industry service, and community outreach.
Thank you for your shared experience, I really appreciate it. I have thoughts about maybe there is any movement of surveyed 3 dimensional geo points for mobile scan routes around the 1.3km deep underground mining panels production area related to the tectonics plates shift per year mm shifting. 😅
All currently developed algorithms of pit optimization are only the first iteration of searching for the maximum NPV of a mine project. The biggest disadvantage of these algorithm is that they model the block mine sequence form the pit bottom going up. This contradicts the mining logic. Please, keep the good work, Matthew!
It's good to see Dr. Hugh Miller on video for the Colorado School of Mines. I remember meeting him at the San Xavier training center for the University of Arizona, in Tucson, Arizona, with my late partner, Bryan King. Keep up the good work Dr. Miller, hope to see you one day.
I love this department for their full support in admission application, thanks to the mining Engineering admission administrator, person of Christine monroe.
From the chemistry side, has there been any research done in respect to the chemical make up of the different tailings dams material and if said tailings materials could be used by the fertilizer industry? I’m not an engineer, full discloser, not wanting to insult anyones intelligence here😎🖖 I’m just a Dude😝
Great Product from Komatsu.. Will this pave the way for increasing the payloads of currently available haulage trucks ??which can greatly enhance the profitability of mines....
