The local conventions closest to where you live are most of the area's anime conventions so Katsucon, Otakon, Anime USA, Galaxy Con Richmond. Then in Northern Virgina, we have Big Lick NOVA next week and they also have one in Roanoke. There's Fairfax Comic Con and there's even a smaller local one that I do called Comic Logic Lot Con which is something they do in their parking lot in the Spring and Fall. Oh and there's Baltimore Comic Con that you can put in your interests in being an artist table there too.

aaa i currently don't know of any happening in the winter, but in VA beach area there is superstar anime which is a small two-day con in the summer (dates for 2024 haven't been released yet though)! i also know that there are cons like Fairfax CC and BigLick CC happening in the NOVA area during the spring/summer! those are more comic cons rather than anime cons though (':
