Granted the album this is from is a majorly weak and dated disappointment following on from her smart debut, but it in no way compares to the album version. The single version of it in 1993 was dreadful, this one is a far better workout and it would have made much more sense as a single then the one they ruined if they weren't going to release the album one. This is a good version, makes a nice alternative to the album one we know.
I was and am a big fun i was the one buying her records even as a teenager i knew she was special superb voice amazing dancing and sooooooooooooooooooo talented she was and is in a class of her own.
Nice!!! I know her first album singles and some stuff from the late 90s, but havent heard this one yet.. that's why I need to be subscribed already :)... I get on a Cathy kick several times a year. This also reminds me of Jermaine Stewarts single from an unreleases album - Set Me Free. Similar context
An ironic title, as while I'm glad this exists, it sounds dreadfully akin to the dance-music the like of Stansfield and awful slagdonna and others were doing there. The album this is for suffers from not having a defining sound, and nothing deep lyrically or musically. It's all so unimportantly derivative, but I still never knew this existed, and it's still pleasanter than the things it's terribly close to in sound, so well done for uploading it, as I'd never heard of this or 'One Life' before.
I'm glad this exists, but it suffers like the majority of the album in that it has no individual defining sound, this is what happens when you get established and the people you work with want you to sound as close to the worst person in the world (slagdonna). Thank God Cathy realised this awful truth in time and then did her own thing with the absolutely wonderful "Am I The Kinda Girl" album and all its attendant B-sides. Underappreciated typically. That's always what happens when you do your best work. Well done for uploading this and the other one though, because I'd never heard there were 2 extra tracks from '93.

Wow Cathy (the singer in this video) would a few year later co-write as a composer massive hits for other singers like 1. Kylie Minogues song I Can't Get You Out Of My Head 2. Britney Spears song Toxic and 3. Katy Perry's song I Kissed A Girl. Cathy knows how to make hits !!!!
Wow, Cathy has an ADORABLE voice! So cute! I also liked the question, “Who poured you into that outfit, Cathy?” Indeed, she fills out her catsuit nicely!
