Oh my god im glad i stumbled upon your channel! Im setting up a natural aquarium with shrimps and scuds, along with myriads of microfaunas. I could stare into the glass for hours out of fascination. You make such quality mini documentary!
@@Lets-scope Oh, I see! It’s pretty good by the way, I noticed that it’s AI after some full minutes into the video. Does the company not require to credit them?
@@yasemindogan6329 That's what i was going for ;-) But it's a lot of work trying again and again until the result is good. Sometimes even rephrasing when it just doesn't work with certain words. And: you don't have to credit them if you have a paid subscription.
@@Lets-scope Hahaha congrats then :) I see, AI voiceover technologies have some way to go it sounds like. Alright, that’s interesting. Thanks for your replies and the video!
for me the score kind of drowned out the narration. i'm an odd-ball that would turn the score down or completely off on almost everything i watch though, so take that with a grain of salt. otherwise: perfect video. the things we get to see thanks to modern cameras and tech is astonishing.
Hehe, yeah It’s one of my earliest projects. Sometimes I really have a hard time judging the volume of the narration vs music, bc I know the script so my brain does this auto correct thing😅
Thanks! I built a custom stand with some added features. I think a compound scope could be adapted as well, but i guess it would need metallurgy objectives to have the necessary working distance.
@@Lets-scope I am little phobic towards nematodes and I don't like them. They cause diseases. This is the reason I wash my hands over and over after picking snails from my tanks. many people should have basic knowledge on these to discriminate between good and bad worms. I am one of them.
thank you so much sam! I think my mic settings were a little off this time, but we observed some really special moments tonight :-) have fun watching the recording!
Also I wanted to ask, what lens are you using for your m43 camera? I have an em5 mk2 and would be cool if I could do the same type of photo/videography.. And what's the name of the book you are using? Thanks in advance!
Ofc! I am using 2 lenses: Laowa 25mm 2.8 2.5-5x ultra macro and canon ef-s 60mm macro. I also have macro rings, a speed booster and canon extenders 1.4x and 2x that I use in combination with above mentioned lenses. Tbh I think it’s not that important, there are so many options for macro photography, a lot of which produce great results. I’m afraid the book I use is German, It’s called ‚was lebt in Tümpel Bach und Weiher?‘
@@Lets-scope nice, thanks for the info! I will have to find an english book haha. I am just getting into photography and a bit of a noob still, but getting a macro lens soon.. just been using a kit lens with macro rings so far
@@fl0yd13 If you want more magnification without spending a lot, you can also mount your kit lens in reverse with a (DIY) retro adapter. Thats how i started my journey into macro photography.
@@ukwildlife hmm, I am not an expert in these yt matters, but if I stream i usually do it 10pm CET, if that’s of any help to your scheduling. Hope to see you there next time!
I have a natural aquarium with Neocaridina shrimp & scuds (Amphipods), there are a lot of little specks of life that are too small to see any detail, thanks for the detailed view.
I'm trying to rationalise the mite's energetic behaviour post catch. There's no obvious utility to it. The Mite looks healthy and full, so possibly it's both satiated & in a position of abundance. Maybe it's just so happy that it's running laps 😄
Maybe it was looking for a dark place to eat in peace? The sample is very well lit, so that would be a possible reason for the movement. But in the prerecorded clip when it was feeding on the copepod, it was also moving its hind legs nonstop even while it was stationary, I assume that’s to improve oxygen uptake, bc they breath through the skin. Anyways these little fellas are incredibly active and very hard to keep in frame😅
@@Lets-scope Yes, looking for shelter also makes sense, I wonder too what role dissolved oxygen plays in their metabolism... You're doing a great job, I appreciate more and more the complex needs on your camera rig, sometimes the subject is slow, and other times a 'kid on coke'! And don't get me started on those rat tailed maggots... Just wow. Thanks for the great resource you're sharing with us.
Haha well I could not keep that mite in frame, so there is still some room for improvement. Thank you for your kind words, looking forward to doing more🙂
I am going to produce more edited videos, it might take a little while tho, I am in the process of moving to a new place. But I got some big plans;) in the meantime you can check out my live streams, in case you haven’t done so already!
Hello, I'm loving your videos absolutely beautiful Do you have a twitter or email etc I can contact you directly via? Have a podcast project I would love to discuss with you Many thanks Elliott
Your footage is the best on the planet bar none, and this stream was an absolute pleasure to watch all the way through. I just want to say WOW and well, obviously I'm extremely jealous of this contraption you've put together cos I've tried and failed to build one myself.
Haha, now I have to get editing and narration up to the same level as in your videos, so it will be on par with the footage… seriously though: thank you, I am a big fan of your work as well!
@@Lets-scope You can definitely go places, since it looks like you have all the skills already. I'm an open book so let me know if I can help with anything :)
