My name is Carolina, but all my friends and family call me Carol.
I’m an artist from Brazil (where it’s common to shorten people's names) living in Dublin, Ireland. I’m also a vegetarian, roller coaster enthusiast, doll collector adult who never wants to grow up! I hope you’ll like the content and join this little piece of my Neverland.
My favourite things to draw (and paint) are animals, friendly creatures and generally cute stuff. My style is a mix of cartoonish and Kawaii, with a strong inspiration in picture books. You can check out my Instagram for a closer look :)
In this channel I’ll be sharing my passion for art supplies (specially watercolour, my favourite medium), my art and a little be of me.
Thank you for visiting, I hope to see you many many times!!!
For Smalt Blue alternatives, try the van Gogh Ultramarine Deep (PB29) or MaimeriBlu’s Ultramarine Blue PV15 (which is a typo; the Italian name is Ultramarine Violet Blue). Both are more violet than your normal PB29, but not quiet as violet as ultramarine violet PV15. I’m not sure whether Rembrandt has an Ultramarine Deep.
it's not that winsor and newton don't disclose the pigments for transparent orange and aqua green, it's that the pigments aren't actually in the pigment database currently. PO107 used to be, but there was some error so it was removed, but that is what transparent orange used to be labelled as. Aqua Green is a phthalo pigment that currently does not have a registered pigment code. I don't agree with any company hiding their mixtures for cadmium free colours though, it's just an excuse to overcharge for cheaper pigments.
I agree with you, Suzy. If the pigments are not listed in the Colour Index then they should clarify that. I appreciate, though, that they mentioned the chemical family for Aqua Green and Transparent Orange.
Hi guys! Today I'm bringing you a new instalment for my Favourites series, this time featuring Winsor & Newton! This is a solid and well known brand, and I thought it was about time I shared my favourites from their catalogue with you. What do you think of my selection? Let me know in the comments!
I, too, am a book collector and there are a few on your list that I will be looking to purchase. Thank you for sharing and giving us a good look at the contents of each book.😊

Hi everyone! I’ve been quite busy this week painting for the Dublin Canvas project (if you’re curious, checkout my Instagram, I have highlights there), but I didn’t want to miss on sharing something with you, so here we are with another book video! I absolutely love art books and these are full of fun tutorials, info and inspiration, so I hope you’ll like it. Let me know in the comments if you have or are planning to get any of these for yourself. Keep creative! Carol
thank you for this beautiful art haul! the german art shop Gerstaecker is selling lefranc artist gouache. they do send to Ireland as well. it also seems to be cheaper than in other stores.
I love the combo of that coral and bronze, the name might be from the bronze colour after oxidizing? Great haul, thank you, the pitt pen is the only one I was familiar with earlier
Those irodori colors!! I have had a few on my wishlist. And... it seems I might need to get them. That green is just so lovely. The cobalt greys too. 💞
Great haul beautiful colors! Do you you mind sharing what metal tool you used to stir the gouache? I've thought about a metal toothpick but that tool looks perfect and is longer so I'm dying to know!😂
Hi everyone! I hope you are doing well and don't mind my delay for sharing this. It's been a long journey! (but it's finally here). I asked in the community tab if you prefer I shared the full video or two shorter ones, and you seem to prefer the longer version so here it is :) For those of you more interested in shorter ones, don't worry, I'll balance it out in the next ones ;) In this exciting haul I share some new art supplied I got from Japan and from a short trip to Paris, and boy, they didn't disappoint! Some beautiful gems in this one. I hope you like it despite being a bit longer than usual. Let me know in the comments what you liked the most. Cheers! Carol
