just an FYI, that backpad mount will not fit on round traveler. I ordered it for my 23 based off your video and im going to have to make a new mount for the pad. not a huge deal though.
These are the main ones I've tried I think some of it comes down to personal preference. These were a great price point for me and both sets have been running great!
Nice ride out , some great bikes and fun music !! What's not to like ... haha ! I just came across your channel actually. I'm happy to support you and other fellow content creators. I look forward to seeing and hearing more from your channel in the future. Keep up the great work and ride safe out there ...
@@BenWilliamson_85 one more question if you had to do it again, would you still go with the torque cam or would you do the horsepower cam? I live in LA I’m in a lot of traffic on the highway most of the time usually downshifting because of traffic. On the weekends I’m usually riding. the canyons to the beach but even that is a lot of downshifting threw the turns.
Yeah man I'd do it the same again... rarely am I hanging around the top end if the rev range alot so I get far more use of the cam daily everywhere else in the rev range but that's just me!
lever on bar is fast idle , not a choke , wd40 on a rag will get sticker residue off or warm up with hair dryer if it's really stubborn . expect about 150 at wheel on dyno if it's a healthy motor. brakes are not the best but easily upgraded. clocks are from an earlier bike , 99 to 01 had them & it's probably not a limited edition , just a sticker. fuel systems can be moody on the early gen 1 models , budget for changing fuel filters /pipes if any stalling/rough running (not expensive) . Gen 1 can run hot due to only 1 fan on rad , gen 2 have 2. if so , chuck another fan on or fit a cheap fan override (both common & cheap mods) overall looks like you bought a good example that is pretty bulletproof & will do silky miles without breaking sweat . Good luck & welcome to busa ownership
Thanks mate for sharing… I noticed that you are still on the mid controls, I am the same height and was wondering if you found them uncomfortable? Also, if you don’t mind, is the normal step up seat or the step up tour? And whether it is comfortable for the pillion? Thanks
Hey Ben. Got my ER sissy bar and loving the look. Ordered a Saddlemen back rest which just came with bolts and 2 small brackets for use with a different style bar. Did your back plate behind the pad come with the pad or did ER send the mounting plate with the bar? He only sent me the necessary bolts to mount to the bike. Thank you.
@@BenWilliamson_85 wow thank you mate for the lightning speed reply! I’m actually in my garage going bonkers trying to figure this out. It’s the Saddlemen contour backrest which is larger than the one you have and there’s several mounting holes on the inside of the backrest. Trying to determine how to fasten it securely. Thx again!
Got the same one today and took about 15 minutes to install it. Absolutely love it and was worth the wait! Cheers from the U.S.A. and ride safe! Where did you find that back pad btw? Is it also a Saddlemen? Edit: If I would’ve finished watching I would’ve heard you mention Drag Specialties #0822-0341 🤦🏻♂️🤙🏽
G’day Ben nice looking gen 1 you have there you should have some fun there.I guess it depends how far you’d like to go with it. I bought an 07 in 016 it’s done 124000 k’s now so I’ve put 100000k’s it. All the work I have done myself so I found these are great bike to work on. Suzuki put a lot of work on these. If your interested I’ll come back to you with some more info. Cheers BUSA 07
The 'limited edition' is bling, true limited editions will have GSX1300RZ on vin plate. Brakekleen on a rag works wonders on sticker residue. SS brake lines & EBC brake pads make a world of difference. I also did racetech gold valves front & rear
Excellent video! Was really nice to see them side by side, and to see them mounted on a stock handlebar setup. Answered every question I had about them!
Just bought the same bike a week ago. Our odometer is just about the same. Been flushing all fluids installing braided linesand going through the bike as fast as the new parts ship in. Had a problem with cluch cylinders (master/slave). So rebuilding with the K&L kits. The clutch would engage only when pulled to the grip. NOT FUN! Looking forward to videos 👍🏾
Great bike, I've own a Gen 1 2007 model (Purple aka Grape or something or other lol) Has 93000ks on her and still runs well and hard. Not sure about the 'Limited Edition' plaque...could be an add on?? Enjoy.
