I am not a Jew but They have my admiration and consequently a degree of respect if for nothing other than their steadfast determination over thousands of years in the face of continuing oppression from many quarters. I would like someone to tell me what other civilisation has done the same and they seem to do it simply by applying disciplines to themselves then sticking to the script. Did you mention occupation, blockading, military occupation, killing and maiming Palestinians in a right of return march, illegal settlements and unlawful removing of Palestinians from their homes? Speak up and against the actions of your own community if you are going to speak out against others. Israel has the absolute right to defend itself against terrorists who intentionally murder civilians in light of Hamas' stated intent to commit October 7th atrocities again and again. Israel does not intentionally target civilians. Israel targets terrorists. In accordance with international law Israel is engaged in a just war of self defense. Israel is fighting terrorists who intentionally target babies, women and civilians. International law states that collateral damage is an accepted consequence of warfare. The law of armed conflict (LOAC) permits soldiers to carry out attacks against military objectives with the knowledge that civilians will be killed, provided the attack is consistent with the requirements of the principle of proportionality.

Thing is, Jews is not a nation unlike Scottish or French. The Israelis can be proud, they are a nation, not everybody is Jewish there. But saying the Jews are better would mean that their bloodline is better, which cannot be true. So I think the reasoning is flawed.

The real issue is that we cover all the parts that are the same as everyone else as those are the physical only nefesh parts. We leave uncovered the fingerprints/hands as well as the face as they are the only parts of the self that are unique to each person. We get close to the Creator when we use our true Tznius--that which we reveal-our hands/deeds and our face/words. That is our service of our Creator
