Hey. My name is Karina, I am from Denmark and I spent a lot of my free-time being creative. This is more a lifestyle than a hobby, and I want to share my experience and my passion for crafts and creative work. I think it is about time to go back, and use all the creative skills we have - and I also find life more fun when you can label your clothe, you're living-room and you're food: "home made". This channel is to inspire to a more creative everyday life
Hej.
Beautiful podcast Karina. I love the pictures at the end. And I'm obsessed with your spirals jumper! Its so beautiful. I would love to knit it! It was fun to watch your podcast and knit on your toolbox jumper at the same time. I'm almost at the joke decreases :)
Thank you so much Regina <3 cant tell you how much you sweet comment means <3 Good job on the sweater <3 and the new Toolbox sweater, I think I will call it "Ærte Sweater" will be coming ad some point 😀
Thank you so much for an interesting podcast. Your knits are beautiful, the black and blue hat, your temperature blanket and the last knit, the beautiful brown and black wip. Thank you also for the Bible verse at the end and the time you gave me to read it. I'm dyslexic and read slowly, so thanks again. I'm South African, living in the UK for 19 years and where I live, no beautiful yarn shops and also yarn is expensive. Only online and it is not the same as feeling the yarn. I'm very allergic to most natural yarns and that means to most knitters that I'm not a real knitter. I'm mainly a sock knitter and that means I have presents for people. I'm a widow and my children are in South Africa and Taiwan, so I find specially the Scandinavian people very interesting. I'm quite jealous when I see the standard of knitting. In South Africa we don't knit that much and nearly never colour work. My children only liked stocking stitch. They do like my socks. I think it is also due to the fact that the climate is warm, except for about 4 months of the year and our houses are built with bricks, but not designed for cold nights that can get to 0c. Keep up the good work and look forward to the next one. God bless Anita x
@@anitaswart. Thank you so much Anita! ❤🧶 Its not the yarn that makes the knitter, dont let them tell you that. I only prefer wool and naturel fibers because I dont like the fellig of "plastic" on my skin, (and I like it to biodegradebel) but acrylic last a lot longer, and 100 % wool socks do not last as long. 🧶 Cool you knit socks 🧶🧦 I know how but dont like to 😅 and everyone loves a sweater here 😉 But I get its to warm in South Africa, thanks for sharing. Sorry you have lost your husband ❤ I'm dyslexic to 😊 happy that I gave us both time to read ❤ Thank you so much for writing ❤ May God bless you and your children ❤❤❤ And happy knitting 🧶
I used to “plow” my way enthusiastically through Weis/Hickman fantasy novels when I was younger…! If you enjoy them, you might also want to check out Terry Brooks’ “Shannara” series, Anne McAffrey’s “Dragon” books, and David Eddings’ “Belgariad” and the “Mallorean” series (about 12 books total in these two series, which are related to each other). He also wrote a different series called “The Elenium” series and “The Tamuli” series (6 books in this series). Take care!
I love a physical book rather than an e-book but find it difficult to read and knit at the same time, so I tend to listen to books on Audible. Like you I can get thoroughly engrossed in a book to the point where the outside world recedes! I haven’t come across the series you mention but can well understand your frustration at only being able to find part of it. I have sourced a free pdf copy of the whole series and would be happy to send it to you if you would like it (I’d need your email and could send you a link). Happy knitting, reading and gardening. Linda, UK
Hi Karina, i love your thumbnail! Beautiful colours 😍 I like mending, too. I like making it super bright and visible. Sometimes i use patches, sometimes embroidery and I also gone one of those little darning tools were you weave over the hole. All good fun 😍
Hi Karina, I think some parts of the design look like seeds and because this is your first pattern in a while its a new beginning. So maybe something along those lines? Lots of love from New Zealand 😊
Lovely to catch up with you and to see your finished design - really really beautiful! Perhaps you could name it after your husband, or maybe “toolbox” or “screwdriver” but the latter may be off-putting to some ladies! You could spell screws phonetically “skroos” which to us Brits would definitely look as though it’s written in another language! Or what about the name of your local village, lake or beach? I’m sure your creativity will guide you to something that feels right. Delighted you got your yarn issue resolved. I have only good things to say about yarn stores, physical or on-line. They seem to be run by people with good hearts and, of course, a passion for yarn and immediately know how it would feel for them to be missing something vital to their project. It’s warmer now in Denmark than here in England. I would be delighted if it was 25 degrees which to us is hot! Love & blessings, Linda 💕🧶
i would love to test knit the trox sweater!! I would make it for myself. a womans size large. I believe ravelry is a good place to sell your patterns. this is my first time watching your podcast and I am genuinely enjoying it..
I only know how knit and purl, but I want to learn something different and beautiful and tried to search for a beautiful pattern like this for sometimes, until your channel just popped up Am so happy and surprised that you are the only channel willing to share. However, so many colour in this jumper, could you please demonstrate how to join each colour and how to change each colour slowly step by step. Also sleeves increases too. 🙏.
What a really beautiful sweater I will try and use my handspun you are a very kind and generous person and also talented. Sending blessings 🙏 to you from Katy from NZ ❤😊

I think I was subscriber no. 1000 😄Lovely to see all your knits, and the inspiration for your husband's sweater is brilliant! I hope this one is just right for him!
A beautiful episode. I really enjoyed hearing about all of your colourwork projects. Looking forward to the next episode. Best wishes from Margaret (of My Wonderful Knitting Life podcast)!
Smukke sager du strikker. Jeg er også glad for "Villahulla", men har ikke fået strikket noget fra bøgerne endnu. Lige nu strikker jeg "Artus" af Natasia Hornby i Rauma Finull. Lækkert garn.
Hello from Liverpool, in the UK.I recently discovered your channel. I'm a huge fan of stranded colourwork and have been "binge watching" your videos. I am due to retire soon, and I have plans to do a train trip through Denmark and Sweden to the Artic Circle to learn more knitting skills and crafts.
Welcome to the cannel 🥰 I to love color works 🧶 and cool trip plans, there are a lot of tallentet knitters i Skandinavien 🥰🧶 I hope you will have a blessed day ❤
Hello Karina! I thought you might like to know that your Natur Uld wool is from Hjertegarn; one of the pioneers of yarn in Denmark. Their family company started in 1926 and their philosophy is to sell yarn at reasonable prices, so everyone can afford it 😊
Hello from Canada! :) I enjoyed seeing what you're working on. Very beautiful knitting! Right now I am working on my Maja cardigan. I am a fairly new knitter, but I am addicted to colour work. This will be my first steak and I'm looking forward to learning that. I hope your wrists continue to let you knit pain free! Take care. -Amy
Hey Amy That is a beautiful pattern you are working on 😍🧶 I hope you will have fun steaking, I likede it a lot 😉🥰🧶 Thank you so much for the comment ❣ I hope you have a blessed day 🥰 Karina
This is beyond helpful. I’ve done lots of Icelandic yoke sweaters in the round but it’s time for this style. I love Linkas patterns. Question- when you close up the shoulders did you do the 3 needle bind off?
I do have a couple of friends that have MS. Hope you can find ways that will help give you grace to live a manageable life. God is a very present help.❤ 🙏
