0:00 I feel nothing. 0:48 Creepy, unsettling, iconic. Not something I'd choose to listen to on loop, but solid A-tier theme for a Bowser's Castle track. 2:29 *ICONIC* Really good, although isn't the best version IMHO. 3:39 I still feel nothing, but this one's slightly harder on the ears. 4:24 Isn't quite as fitting as N64's, but isn't nearly as monotonous. So I think that it evens out. If they remake this theme, it better not become metal. (Nothing against metal music, I just think ominous music's more fitting for Bowser.) 5:55 Most forgettable Bowser Castle track theme IMHO (not including remakes.) And I grew up playing this one. A little unpleasant to my ears. Please either lower the pitch, or slow it down. 7:29 The original did it better. Much better Most forgettable of all of these by miles. WAAAAYYY too quiet. Also, what in the name of Yoshi is this: 8:02 ? 8:38 IT'S HERE! THE GOD OF BOWSER'S CASTLE TRACK THEMES!!! Like the N64 version, this one perfectly captures a feeling of dread. If this one is made into an *official* metal theme, I might cry. Maybe I have childhood bias with this one, but if this theme is officially remade, it simple needs a new coat of paint, not an entirely new paint job. Add violins, a pipe organ, and a timpani. Breath new life into this underrated track! Will this one ever be surpassed? Only time will tell. 10:14 This is a _much_ better remake than DS had. And it's probably the most iconic version, but don't quote me on that. 11:29 Was this even changed from the N64 version? If not, guess it didn't need it, although it would have been a missed opportunity. 13:00 If you're going to do metal music for Bowser, this is how you do it. And I love how it pays homage to the GCN one. 14:59 Pretty much on par with the Wii remake, but maybe a few points lower. I'm willing to chalk that up to nostalgia. The Wii one also has less audio compression. But I don't fault MK7 for that, or the 3DS/2DS. They did with what they had at the time. 17:14 Way to tryhard. Other that the opening guitar shred and the part at 18:07 it all just turns into borderline uncompressible noise to me. BONUS! The MK8DLX remake of the SNES BC theme: Crazy music for what's now a crazy course. I love it.
Spirit temple and forest temple are my favourite. Forest temple for mystery and suspense. But the spirit temple for sheer power; entering a deeply spiritual place. But shadow temple also hits hard! It's so creepy. Thematically the music in this game is superior over every other game. Such an amazing soundtrack.

I've seen Bowser's silhouette dozens of times in Mario games, so why does the one in the thumbnail look even more sinister, and more importantly, why does it send a chill down my spine?
Not sure if it’s because I’m actually terrified of water irl or if the music was that menacing but morpheel overall scared the piss out of me. I was so intimidated during that fight
You forgot my favorite: The one that plays when you attack a boss‘s attack Point (for example when you are able to grapple to the eye of the big fish and Link rams his sword into it, that theme plays 100%)
MK64 bowsers castle theme just gives me so much nostalgia. I wasn't even born when it was released. I just remember it from the Wii and hitting those DAMN THWOMPS
Those ost will always be unmatched ! New Zelda games don’t have this anymore. It’s just plain silent someday compared to Ocarina of Time where every little songs and melodies represents the donjon so well ❤
