This channel is strictly for video games, music, movies, and any other creative content involving them. My videos may range from basic playthroughs, to montages/mashups, to top 10 lists, to music videos involving my own personal tracks, and I may involve music from another source to make certain moments in some of my videos a bit more interesting and fitting if I can without violating copyright policies and if other youtubers will allow me but for now I will start out basic to the best of my abilities and I hope to gain others' approval of my work and connect with others here on this site. It depends if I will do anything outside of what I stated above but I do intend to bring forth as much as I can to create great videos for all viewers.
I dont think I ever got through season 2, and i havent played Story Mode since forever, so seeing THIS HEARTTHROB OF A SCENE???? AFTER STORY MODE IS GONE???????? I am in shambles. I love emotional vulnerability scenes i never new mcsm had one i love this
3:05, you can hear Petra breathing heavily probably because she hasn’t been really given any physical touch from friends like that in a while. Like she was trying to keep composed but the second Jesse reached out to her physically, she was on the verge of breaking down there. Minecraft Story Mode may not always be the best but it can still be enjoyable for what it is sometimes
Another question would be what gaming franchise would suit her best? I would say Sonic the Hedgehog because Sonic games have adventures that I think Petra would thoroughly enjoy. Plus the music is also fitting for her. Almost every tune from every game suits Petra well, at least to me. Whenever she races, I feel like "Race to Win" from Sonic Rivals 2 would be playing in the background. Plus if I'm not mistaken Petra is one of if the not the fastest characters in MCSM. So good luck legitimately beating her in a race, you're gonna need it, other MCSM characters. Potion of swiftness doesn't count, sorry Ivor. Also her main theme from the mainline games would be "It Doesn't Matter" from SA 1, but there are many Sonic songs that would be perfect for her. This is just my opinion, so if anybody has any suggestions I'm open to them.
Has any other character in the game gone through more hell and trauma than Petra has? As far as I can tell, every other character in the game at least got through their childhood without any major hardships which can't be said for Petra. I also don't think any of them have more than one disability like she probably does. I could be wrong but that is the feeling I am getting. I think Petra has had the worst life out of any Mcsm character but that's just me.
Also for anybody who wants a fan made season 3, I highly recommend watching Skelesdian's playlist of it. It combines her own ideas with the continuity of the game very well. And when I found it I thoroughly enjoyed it. And spoiler alert, there is romance going on in this playlist. The playlist is called "The Adventures Of Jesse And Petra."
Also, I forgot to mention that Jesse slaying the witherstorm didn’t just cure Petra’s sickness or amnesia and getting her and her friends out of the Sunshine Institute, but it also made her hopeful that she would finally have people that she could have lifelong friendships with. It makes her feel like she has a purpose in life and that she won’t feel the need to end her life like she wanted to beforehand. This was her chance to have a good quality of life for the first time and in episodes 5-8 that ended up happening. While it wasn't perfect, she had times in these episodes where she couldn't stop smiling. In episode 5 of Season 1, she expresses how grateful she is to have teammates and people who care about her which she admits is new for her. It also allows her understand her team better and she is showing off her snarky side often. In the beginning of episode 6 she made a friendly bet with Lukas and had the time of her life racing to the mansion. That seemed like the happiest Petra had ever been in her life to that point which she was way overdue for. And I think she enjoyed figuring out the murder case other than when Lukas was accused of being the White Pumpkin and her worrying about him. She also seemed to have some romantic feelings for Jesse during the crafting race. Even though she lost her temper on Jesse in episode 7 by the end of it she was happy they came, and in the endings of both seasons even though her life had been bumpy, she felt like she finally had a good quality of life. Offscreen probably in between seasons and after Season 2 Petra likely told Jesse how she couldn’t thank him enough for saving her life both physically and especially mentally because before she joined Jesse’s gang permanently her life was a total train wreck. She looked ecstatic while running off with Jesse to go adventuring and she needed that badly. Petra may be a badass on the outside especially when it comes to fighting but emotionally on the inside she is a nervous wreck and is praying for something to go right for once in her life, luckily Jesse did just that for her. But once again, Petra is an example of regardless of how difficult your life may be, whatever mistakes you’ve made to try and fix it, no matter what you want, no matter what certain people think of you, you can overcome that and prove your doubters wrong. You can still be yourself and find people that respect you and want to be with you to the end of the line. And Petra did just that, she is now able to be more open minded, accepting things more easily, and not loathing herself anymore and actually be at peace and being able to love herself for who she is. Now with her life figured out she can be the tomboyish, humorous, brave warrior version of herself without needing to use it as a coping mechanism. Now she can do it with her best friend Jesse and without worrying about her past. I had to write this comment separately from the other one because RU-vid wouldn’t let me post this part of my statement on the original comment for some weird reason, but anyway, I figured I would add that part to try to mention information that I thought was important to add. Sorry if this sounds too close to the things I said in the original comment but I wanted to mention as many things as possible. Also I may have over exaggerated on Petra’s soft side and not enough on her tough side, but honestly everything I said about her is what type of person I believe she is. Once again I hope people that read this enjoy it .👍
After reading about Petra's awful childhood and seeing her have to deal with Wither Sickness or Amnesia, Pama feeling abandoned by the people she thought were her only true family, being imprisioned or becoming Romeo's puppet "Champion" hating herself for leading her and her friends straight into grave danger because she let her anger take over, the thought of losing even Jesse, which she thought was unthinkable after Season 1, and many other traumatizing events, it is super heartwarming to see someone (Jesse) finally remain by her side so she won't have to adventure alone. Episodes 5 to 8 of Season 1 were the only episodes that I thought she was truly happy in. Every other episode she was uneasy at best emotionaly. Most of her Season 1 diolague would indicate that her life was perfect in every way. But is really the exact opposite, Petra acts like a tough girl to forget about her miserable life and unfortunately for her everyone thinks she is a selfish, hot-headed, jerk who doesn't belong in the world, which makes her fearful that she will never have any friends and will be outcasted by the world. Most people in the game don’t know about her emotional side because she hides it to well for her own good. Jesse saying that she has the best life in Season 1 episode 1 gave her hope that she will finally have a true friend and low and behold that is what happened, which she deserves because any friends she had before just ditched her like she was a piece of trash which made her and made her feel very lonely. I also read that Petra lost her mother the moment she was born and was abused by her father. Man do I feel bad for her, her life has been absolute hell, no wonder she became tomboyish, independent, tough and anti-social. Petra probably became this way because she was fed up with being a punching bag for her father. She ran away from her dad's house and lived in a cave for a while. Can't say I blame her. Petra seems like someone who has PTSD, Autism, and IED which is not fun for anyone. I saw that she goes mob hunting at night, which I feel like is another coping mechanism for her. It makes her feel better about herself. Another thing, I feel like whenever Petra thinks about her past, seeing something that reminds her of it, or hearing someone talking about it, she has a severe anxiety attack which is another thing I feel like she is prone to having. Whenever she is lonely, she is likely stuck in depression because she really misses her friends when they're not spending time with her. I also feel like her explosive outbursts of anger are because she is so fed up with unfair treatment of her and her friends, especially since she has dealt with that for most of her life. Self loathing sounds like another problem for Petra because of her past mistakes. It makes her feel like she can never forgive herself. The game may only show her crying once, but I feel like after she escaped the Witherstorm and seeing the destroyed Endercon, I think she was crying about it because she felt like it was all her fault and she let her obsession over getting the diamond get the better of her which gave Ivor the Wither Skull. In Episode 4 if Petra is left in the cave I feel like she starts crying again because she feels like the world is dead because of her. If she goes to the Far Lands while she tells her friends that she can’t fight anymore due to her Wither Sickness, I feel like she is crying and is almost hoping the Witherstorm or sickness kills her. Petra probably feels like wanting to give up on trying to become something good wasn’t worth the fight anymore and she feels like people would celebrate her dying. So she likely starts crying waiting for her death. If she wasn't chipped in Episode 7 I feel like she would have cried there too. Her loyalty to her allies I think is because they are the first group of people that have made her feel wanted and she wanted to do everything she can to protect them. Due to leading her friends straight to the Sunshine Institute she feels like she is going to turn evil and everybody will think she is think she is the worst person to ever exist with exception to Romeo. That to me is why in the cabin Petra reveals to Jesse how she has been feeling for a long time. And in season 2 in general she felt like she was worthless and that Jesse didn't need her anymore. Even after Season 2 if Jesse stays in Beacontown she probably starts crying because she will be alone again, but if Jesse leaves with her she will be crying tears of joy offscreen in my opinion. She seems like someone who could desperately use an extended period of time in a mental health assistance program because of her terrible past. Her fighting skills are out of this world and she is very snarky and funny when she is mentally stable but the thing is she usually isn't. I also feel like she has frequent nightmares about things that have traumatized her like the Witherstorm, her abusive father, or losing her mother. I get the feeling that she is worried sick about all the things that can go wrong besides her fighting skills. On the outside Petra is a tough brave warrior when it comes to combat but on the inside she is a soft teddy bear and very weak and is prone to having mental breakdowns of either anger, sadness or a mix of both. But with Jesse being right by her side no matter what her life seems to finally be turning around. As a huge fan of hers, it's about time something goes right for her. The best thing about Season 2 to me is that she becomes super relatable because a lot of the hardships she has faced are things many people have dealt with in real life. Season 1 did not do a great job at making her relatable to me, at least not as good as Season 2 did. She can compete with anyone combat wise but her most challenging fight is with herself. It feels like she always gets in her own way especially when it comes to attempting to make friends. She often lets her anger make her lose sight of the bigger picture and she ends up feeling remorseful after it. Season 1 episode 7 is the prime example of this. Then not long before Season 2 episode 1 she tries to become Stella's champion due to feeling abandoned by her friends and wanting to acomplish something which got her scammed again, this time losing her most prized possesion Miss Butter. And she did it without telling her friends. Jesse was understandably very dissapointed by this. Petra also lived in Champion City. If my best friend was living in rival city of mine I would be upset with him or her because that doesn't reflect well on them at all. She also vented to Jesse about how no matter how integral she is to the Order's success, Jesse gets all the praise while she is pushed to the side like she did nothing. She is totally right because she has saved Jesse's life countless times yet nobody gives her any credit. The game really pushes that narrative of Jesse being the big hero regardless of what the others have done to help. Petra also tells Jesse that the fact the her friends are barely interacting with her is really getting to her and that it is embarrassing to hear that her friends keep telling her that they will go adventuring with her next time, yet that next time never comes. I think the biggest reason this upsets her so much is because it is giving her flashbacks to her horrible childhood where everyone kept abandoning her. Internally she probably felt heartbroken because she thought she finally had people who were gonna be with her no matter what and yet even they have drifted apart from her. Personally, I get why she feels that way, but Jesse can't just drop everything he is doing just for her. Jesse has citizens in Beacontown to meet and greet every day. He is obviously super duper busy. I don't think Petra fully understands that. Luckily she tells Jesse that that is a fair point. Still, though what was Petra thinking, she really botched this one up big time. At least she got back Miss Butter but other than that the whole becoming a champion thing was a total failure. Not only that if Petra didn't try becoming Stella's Champion the whole Adnin debacle would never happened in the first place. This seems to be a theme with Petra, making short sighted descions that put the world in danger because of it. I keep thinking back to the Endercon, Crown Mesa and Champion City incidents. Evantually though Petra learns that she can't do things behind her friends backs, she needs to calm herself down when the going gets tough, she has to be open minded and she has to overcome her mental health problems, and that is her biggest flaw, is that she seems to always be struggiling with her mental health. I imagine that many people made a suggestion to her that she needs therapy badly.Luckily for her Jesse is like therapy for her. Overall, Petra is probably the most complicated character I have ever seen in any video game ever. I could be exaggerating, but I really do believe that. She can be an aggressive violent hothead or she can be a calm gentle sweetheart. Basically she can be on the extreme end of any type of human nature. And that is what makes her character super deep in my opinion. Luckily with Jesse being there for her it seems like she finally has figured her life out. Anyway that is my opinion on who Petra is, she will always be my favorite character that this game has because of the absolute hell she has had to overcome in her life which makes her an inspirational figure in my eyes. Also quick questions for anyone who reads this, what music genre and band do you think represents Petra the best? My vote would be heavy metal for the genre and either Foo Fighters or Bullet for My Valentine for the band. I feel this way because the music sounds like Petra screaming aiming and firing all her fear and anxieties away and it allows her be her sassy, but in a good way, adventurous self and cure her depression but that's just me. I hope anyone who reads this will enjoy it. 👍
Now that it has been half a decade when MCSM released Im starting to relate to petra, its hard to see the good things go now im an adult whose working 7-4 jeez
This will always be the most emotional scene in gaming for me. I always thought it was. The music, the feels, everything. I’m not a “everybody leaves me” person, for me it’s that nobody stays. No matter who I’ve befriended, most of them I’ve lost for one reason or another. And soon it’s gonna be my turn to leave the few people that have stayed (I graduate after this year). Losing people has always been one of my greatest fears because it happens so often, and I’m always scared of the future and I fear that in the end it’s just gonna be me, like it’s almost always been.
When she said you failed to save reuben i immediatly wanted to beat the fuck out of that redstone heart cus reubens death was the saddest in my opinion
