Nik, I just found this vid. This is awesome. It would be awesome if you made more of these vids to showkase all the different machines you have available. Plus all the options etc.
How similar of an install is this video compared to a newer MT240HEC, I have a power beyond for the backhoe that I'd like to replace with a rear remote and third function but not many people have videos showing any of this
I don't see it noted here, but i believe this is the exact same kit/process for the NH WorkMaster 35/37 tractors. I am planning to do my install this weekend and will confirm once i get it done. Parts look identical
Hey Nick, Couple things to think about. The Disc looked like it was floating on the ground. I'd be curious to see what it does with some weight on it. Also, for top cutting usually the disc will pitch in the middle to scim plain the land. Great video! (Even with the Beat Juice Mishap!) Take Care! RB
Got a question. I have an LS MT230e, with a hydraulic leak, coming off of an elbow, from what looks like, the hydraulic pump (I’m guessing), on the front-right side, of the lower part of the engine. Right behind the right-front wheel assembly. I think, replacing the elbow, will do the trick. However, I’m not sure, if there is an internal rubber grommet, above the elbow, where the leak is coming from. Please note, it’s only leaking (rapidly, usually just a slight drip), when elevating the bucket loader. Thank you.
@@thetedster16 I was able to fix mine on my own, without taking it to the stealership. There is a rubber grommet at the top end of the elbow. It somehow got pinched. Although, getting to it was a bit of a trick, I was able to find a replacement very quickly, and cheaply. It’s just a 15mm rubber O-ring. Haven’t had a problem since.
I just got a LS. The dealer also sells the TYM brand. Owner says he is struggling so bad just to get parts for them and its been that way for a while. LS he has no issues getting parts.
do you guys do shipping... im currently in the federated state of Micronesia and i am highly interested in buying one with a offset flail mower.. please advice.
I'd change the title to this film for this video to 50 Hour Service on the LS MT122. The current title suggests a discussion on the merits of buying an LS versus say JD or Kubota and that is not covered here. Nice video though.
This will also fit the newer MT 2E series tractors, MT230, MT235 and MT240. I believe the MT 2E series is the updated/remodeled version of the XG series, XG2030, XG3037 and XG3135, XG3140. Just installed this exact kit on my '21 MT235HE. This also hooked to my 3rd party (Summit kit) 3rd function the exact same way as the LS 3rd function kit.
If your still looking, he's got another video installing it with this. It will also fit the newer MT230, mt235 and mt240 tractors (updated/rebranded versions of the XG's). Just finished with my MT235HE.
Yes, I just installed the LS dual rear remotes, all steel lines and no other parts needed. They have another video showing how to hook the 3rd function to the rear remotes. You can have rear remotes or a 3rd function or both. If you already have an LS 3rd function (or 3rd party one) it will hook directly up to it. I installed a Summit kit only because I needed a 3rd function sooner because my rear remotes were back ordered (11 month wait) and when my LS rear remotes finally came they hooked up to my 3rd function the exact same way as an OEM one would have.
They sent the end piece that fits the hydraulic cylinder, I don't think theirs gonna have to be any welding. I do appreciate the timely shipping on that part, all is good know I can put my tractor to work. Still don't understand about the phones. Thank you for sending the piece I needed.
This is the poorest dealer I have ever dealt with, I ordered a tilt cylinder from them and they told me I had to weld a piece to it to make it work on my LS. They sent the cylinder and the end of the shaft was nothing but threads,I need a nut to fit the shaft so I can have something to weld to. I been trying for days to get them to answer the phone, no luck
Wow, this requires some big nuts to modify if a simple owner of a new tractor. "Weld bracket onto tractor loader", "Cut wiring harness" and.....remove your loader joystick, get out ye'old hacksaw, and cut off the handle". Very nice video. Seems like you could do this blindfolded. I really have to be motivated to do this....much harder for me. In the mean time, a 15' chain from tractor supply will fit my needs. The 3rd function is still on my wish list. Professional quality video and clear instructions. Thumbs up from me and thanks for the enlightenment and taking the time to make such a clear video.
Question: I am looking at getting either a MT5.73 or the XP8101CPS. Both units have a blue rail along the bottom. I have heard one dealer say a backhoe can be installed via that subframe. Another dealer says that is a subframe for the loader not to insert a backhoe subframe (like Hand into glove). My local dealer says wallenstien might be able to make one (backhoe subframe) for those units. If so, would that involve removal of the loader subframe or adding to it? Was looking at the 6168 but in a few months my down payment can get the 8101 no hoe for same as 6168 with backhoe so I have the option to wait and get the 8101. So would the loader subframe be likely removed or added too?
I would be sooo mad if i found out an installer (anywhere) cut my brand new factory harness and most likely voided the warranty. You're better off running the power to the battery with a fuse. Please don't advice people to cut their harness !
