I just haven't been able to get on board with the lingerie style wedding dresses. Maybe I'm a little old fashioned and think all brides should be princesses on their wedding day!
Why are all of the models 6 ft tall? That is not realistic. Some of the dresses are beautiful, but not all brides will look good in these dresses. Think about that when you are designing these wedding dresses.
Shoulder pads should be banned from existence permanently. Is it me, or are a lot of these Pnina dresses looking less bridal? I think Pnina should start designing high fashion regular clothing and expand from bridal. Pnina sure likes that see through corset style. Not my cup of tea. We don’t need to see that boning.
I didn't see any gown that makes me think "beautiful bride." None look like they'd be comfortable to wear while walking down the aisle or dancing at the reception. Yuk.
As a bride to be in her 40's with over $25,000 to spend, I was shown some of her dresses whilst in the States. I am guessing that her market is the 20 year old Florida/LosAngeles/Las Vegas type marrying the new money millionaire. The shop owner hushed the sales assistant away with a comment .... "This lady will want something elegant and upmarket". She was right. These dresses are perfect for the off the peg market she is designing for ..... I am sure that if you asked her to design a custom one-off to wear at York Minster with a society castle reception, that she could do something wonderful but pared back.
