Welcome Lovely People, My name is Brianna Petrosh, but call me Bri. I’m a senior at Rutgers University, an opera singer (spinto soprano), and I’m studying for a B.A. in Liberal Studies. I produce videos featuring classical singing, including opera and legitimate musical theater, as well as church music. My passion for music began at nine, and by ten, I was developing an operatic sound. When music programs were cut from my Catholic school, I turned to the church to make music and serve God. In my early teens, I realized I was an autodidact opera singer and became a part-time church cantor. At fourteen, I joined OperaFest International and secured the role of Mimi in “La Bohème,” working with my first voice teacher, Nancy Fox. Sadly, the opera was canceled due to Nancy’s passing. As a teenager, I continued to sing operatically to honor her. Despite starting as a non-music major at a community college, I found my voice. In the end, my vocal journey has more growth to come. Stay tuned!
@@teresagardiner153 Thank you for your kind words! There are many obstacles in sharing my music not having a music degree, but I believe that all art should be free regardless of background; it should transcend the human spirit. ❤️🎶
@@briannapetrosh3693 Mozart's personality was not particularly noble or lofty, but he managed to make some of the most transcendent music ever (like the g minor string quintet and the clarinet concerto). Transcending the human sprit, as you put it!
@@briannapetrosh3693 P.S. To be clear, my previous comment is definitely not meant to be a knock on Mozart. He had a wonderful personality (very fun and funny) and I love reading his letters. It's just that his humor - playful, outrageous, and frequently scatological! - was a big contrast with the rarefied beauty of his music. "There's a lot of farting during the night, And the farts resound with thunderous might." -- W.A. Mozart
I love you so very much! This was the only true song I worked on with Nancy for a short time before she passed away; we never finished, but I finished the rest on my own… I hope she’s happy! 🎶❤️
Thank you for the kind words! I know somewhere that Nancy’s proud because I finally reached the completion she dreamed of; it only took me 4 years working alone with her technique to reach it!❤🎶
