do pleromas apply to attack items? cause i'm surprised at not much use of light gems on girimekhala or are the four elemental gems actually just exact copies of -dyne skills while light/dark gems are hamaon/mudoon?

43:10 I’m kind of disappointed that I missed this scene when I got to this point in the YHVH fight attempt that I managed to win. It was only on a previous attempt did I have the dialogue trigger but I was too annoyed that YHVH still had another phase and Nanashi’s team had been wiped out already that I didn’t pay attention to what was being said by the samurai and reset immediately after this phase started. A shame it was one of the two instances I got YHVH to the Black Hole phase instead of dying to random Rampage crits and the subsequent death spiral like in my previous attempts in this fight.
the fact that camael now has a trait that increases damage when an ally of the fury race strikes a weakness or hits a crit feels like some atlus developer watched this video and saw how long zaou-gongen and camael lasted
Regarding the information in the description on stacking Tetrakarn and Makarakarn, are there any other SMT games where you could do that since I was put off using them after doing the Mara fight where he has access to Tetrabreak so I assumed it was a skill every other boss has access to at this point in Apocalypse. Then again, at the time of writing this, I just finished up the Dagda boss fight and revived Asahi so I could probably test that for the eventual Krishna rematch as well as the route siding with Dagda because I have a save point right before deciding between Dagda and your allies and another save right after the Dagda fight.
Yeah no, I'm not redoing this without fusion accidents. Not just for Hydra, but Tiamat at level 59 without a Gogmagog is nigh impossible (doable if you bust lots of Balms into Nahobino though, which would defeat the purpose of a lowest-level playthrough.) Yeah, the fact you only have 5 skill slots, no way to change resistances and no QoL fight improvements sucks, but I like that it makes Young Man the pivot of the fights, even when he deals piss damage by the end. I'd say doing this was worth it (and I didn't rely much on FA actually, probably 10 demons tops), but I'm never doing it again. Fuck CoC especially (Hydra at level 5 with just Onmoraki, Preta and Pixie? LOL nope.) Hats off to you to pull that off though. The rest of the game is not worth it. Especially from all the Empyrean bosses onwards.
4:05 For context, does anything change during this quest if Nozomi is in the party dialogue wise? Since I’m playing this for the first time, I did this quest first instead of heading to the Fairy Forest, which judging by the level differences meant I did it out of order, and had Hallelujah in the party giving small inputs when Asahi learns about what happened to Nanashi and claiming Excalibur.
It's been a long time but I vaguely remember wondering it myself, I think that at most it changes a few lines of dialogue in either area but I can't say for certain.
Guess I got the opposite experience then what most people experienced on their Apocalypse where I got thrashed by Ose and had less issue with Sukuna Hikona. Although that might have been due to the party being more electric based even that was on accident to farm Ziongas. Nice to knock that aliments work on bosses.
i do wonder if nozuchi will see any use in this fight in vengeance, probably not, since he doesnt have any really useful skills for this fight aside from life spring. maybe shiki ouji might be useful though, at least as a placeholder for whenever a demon dies since he can actually survive some hits now and potentially help with the ailments
does anyone know what exactly changed between smt4 and apoc to make base skill power more relevant? because i feel like you can't just bring single tier zan to endgame in apoc. closest thing was you keeping zanma for odin but that was for saving mp
Seems like that could be the safest guess based on my history but I’ve also toyed with the idea of fusion without any skill inheritance depending on the game, although I’ve never done it
weirdly the other 3 are from the end(or close) of their respective adventures but the Hero is like, level 25ish or so normally? dude was grinding his ass off apparently

homestly i didn't expect to win in 2 attempts at level 80. i had a team of ragnarok airavata, floral gust tiamat, and support asherah, and it did require getting lucky but it wasn't that big a deal thanks to spirit focus, archangel's law, and pumping into flynn's agility for like 22 whole levels
in my failed attempt he used gaea rage for no reason, i had one demon that didn't repel gun or phys on the field and my flynn repelled gun but didn't have phys resistance. i think maybe there's a small chance he'll just use it randomly anyways on my winning attempt i just spammed charge myriad arrows after the dialogue and he didn't even get the CHANCE to use gaea rage it was crazy, who needs riot gun am i right?
if only the high elec pleroma accessory were available on the law path....... i just decided to use stigmata strike in my level 57 strat. i didn't want to use any high level skills but i felt like it would be very difficult to win without it. also on my winning attempt he did use silent prayer near the end but fortunately i was still able to beat him
in order to beat michael at level 56, i decided to give up on no fusion/skill inheritance and fuse asura, grendel, and wild hunt with life surge/gain, bufudyne, pleromas, concentrate, and support skills. i had to buy this crazy uriel, masakado's shadow, and odin from compendium in order to beat gabriel in 1 turn with life surge accessory and repel fire armor on flynn, and i swapped out those demons as soon as the michael fight began
raphael is not exactly the sharpest tool in the shed. when he killed my demons and sucked up my mp i won by just spamming beads and fire bullets and he kept hitting into nibelungen repel phys, usually with his third turn
A far cry from Tarunda only being available through Fang Breaker (which can miss) on Neko Shogun (who's *weak* against Fire) anywhere below Hydra, _in a run with fusion allowed_ (because base V doesn't have Tarunda realistically available until Archangel/'s essence, and Andras is the first Demon that Neko Shogun can fuse into). Needless to say, the original Hydra tested my patience at Hard LV 11 _in Newborn NG+!_ Note that I registered most demons with only base skills (or one skill after fusing with Inheritance Violation) so I wouldn't be incentivized to buy demons from the prior playthrough until I register them in the current one. The only reasons I did Hard NG+ instead of NG for this was because starting with the full Demon Proficiency miracle set, and the Glory saved by having it, felt too good to pass up. Before this, I did various gimmick runs on Safety (often some variation of true mandatory-battles-only and/or solo)...and the steep level scaling tended to make them actually challenging until the EXP gain starts to ramp up like crazy at Empyrean!
