Well considering the 50ccs get 100 Mi to the gallon I would say actually a lot of people are buying scooters today I don't know if you know this but most 150cc scooters still average 80 Mi to the gallon and they travel 65 mph. That's crazy cheap transportation for the average person
@@WiggSplitter75 I hear you brother except my channel was built on scooter content before I started introducing the larger bikes to it I still cater to my original subscribers

Hey👋 you seem like you know a lot about these bikes my father bought one in 2001 I think first model brand new he only took it for a few rides then left it to sit for 20 years , you think I can still make it work after so long of sitting ? I was thinking of fixing it up and learn how to ride on it then sell it I just don’t know what to do first on the bike to check if it works .
Hey, I have a question for you. I don’t know if you’re actually gonna be able to read this since this video so old I have a Suzuki GS 500 F06 model I am having issues with the way it is running and I am wondering if it could be an ER system problem I really like to pick your brain
@GoldySliime I do not have an affiliate link I purchased all these myself and review them based on my interests in the product this allows me to be unbiased with my reviews
I have had both the 650 and 1100 Vstar bikes. The 650 is a great starter to mid bike. I dont think the idea behind it was as a long distance cross country ride. Yes, it could use another gear, but at 70+ I would want more bike for long distance. They are an awesome choice for a dependable weekend or commuter ride. A great blend of larger bike look and feel with a small bike price tag. Obviously your best choice for a city vehicle would not be a 8" quad cab dually, ( you could I guess). Having said this, if you are planning a long trip, this would be a great one to start out with to get the feel of a bigger bike that is lighter, cheaper and forgiving.
When ordering these you really need to be paying attention because there's a bunch of aftermarket versions of it some of them suck some of them are awesome it's really hard to tell which version you're going to get unless you're paying very close attention to the descriptions
@echohunter4199 it's still on sale but it's not $17 anymore it's about $29 now but it's still totally worth it. I was very very impressed by how far this thing can actually see you can reasonably see up to 300 yards without an issue and still make out things in the dark and then at the 800 M marker 874 yds you can still see things out there like eyes from animals glowing things like that but it's going to be a lot harder to see beyond that point but still to be able to see 800 M for $17 to $30 that's insane just absolutely insane
@@echohunter4199 and you can record with the IR off it actually takes really good reasonable normal footage in high resolution in color with a microphone with the IR sensor off
@@IFixShet now I can understand your amazement, that is wild! This is something that would be a great project to integrate the guts of the night optics with some scope or whatever else someone dreams up. Could buy a couple of them and make a set of goggles. Get a surplus PVS-7 cranial harness (they sell for dirt cheap on eBay or surplus stores websites, one should go for around $20) and make a bracket to mount to the harness so you can use it hands free? Thank you for taking time to make this video and respond, I’ll definitely grab one and play with it, if I don’t like it, I can gift it to a nephew or god son. Kevin Retired Army Infantryman.
@@echohunter4199 I love the concept of what you're going with here the only downside is that the focal point will require manual adjustment for focusing while staring at objects that are further or closer whereas a nice pair of goggle headset make the automatic adjustments for you while you look around otherwise I would say that project would work perfectly

@@IFixShetsame buddy 😊 It’s addictive though, we bought quite a lot from Temu , their under seat subwoofers are incredible! @@IFixShetthese are also great for off grid homes and campers too, they use so much less energy than a television 🎉there’s some amazing new cheap solar panels coming from china now , quick charging on even cloudy mornings, my friend is running a roof full of them buddy ,it’s crazy ! He has your same projector in his office to watch crypto and stocks big on the wall and these new solars are pumping tons of watts into a line of huge batteries running a 1400 watt washing machine ,2 watt led lights for the rooms , wood burner for heat and hot water , reverse osmosis rain into his house so he’s living literally for free with his wife 😮 The guys insane creative, he also has a glass retractable electric ceiling running off the sky 😂The only thing thing they buy is a little lpg for cooking and also have this crazy little water boiler, super economical little cottage ! It’s woken me up and many up to the no bill life, it’s no longer skimping to get by , with all this new technology it’s making dreams become so possible now, off grid life is no different to being on grid now with all the improvements on cheap tech 🎉❤
Imo save the engine, the rest is easy enough to replace. When i sink jetskis or fourwheelers i like to swap the fluids, pull the plugs and crank it to get it running immediately. Get the motor running and burn off any water you can inside the motor with a couple heat cycles then worry about the rest
@yteka99 except it's the saltwater that is the problem, freshwater and saltwater are very different obviously. Once the salt gets inside of the electronics you really have a very minimal amount of time to save everything this includes the engine. I get it if you're only trying to save the engine then yes however most of these people would like to save the full motorcycle if possible so it's better just to take all the necessary steps and see if it's salvageable
I bought the trike and im having it shipped from a dealer. I was wondering if I should have it fully assembled and tested when shipped or 80%assembled. I’m glad I chose for it to be fully assembled and tested by them so they can deal with all the issues.
!!!Attention!!! Pull the spark plugs spray WD-40 into the cylinders, take WD-40 and spray it into all of the key holes including the ignition. The WD stands for water displacement so after you freshwater soak the bike you need to lubricate all of the components that require a key and spray WD-40 into the cylinders to keep them from flash rusting.

Great review! Also, what a beautiful place you live! Just bought myself this very model on a 2009 plate here in the UK. Only done 7,500 miles. It’s being delivered in the morning. I’m so excited to ride it! Great video!
@spenjackson I don't really have a favorite Tire on this thing to be honest. If it was a sport bike I would be a little more particular about my tires but this is just a cruising bike the majority of tires will be suitable for this however given a choice I would probably choose a soft tread Tire
It's hard to post the link because it constantly runs out and then ends the sale and then you have to find another link to replace it with every 4 days so I would say just go on the website and search for it and you'll find one
