Belief is a super power and if you can't do it, you lack an ability. This man was not a follower of Christ and there, is his logic rooted in opposition to the existence. His stance is opposition. Meaning he walks and sounds wise but is not, he is walking backwards. Be not deceived. Some sound genius, but the root of that word is to connect others spiritually, to awaken within others. The sense of living, life and Onness with God. He doesn't connect, he confuses.

I don't think it's possible to reach a level of "no thoughts". You can learn to create a distance between you and your thoughts (and your emotions), but the complete cessation of thought is an illusion.

its not true that it doesnt require your belief to exist, many things do, inventions for example, inventions would not exist if the inventor did not believe in the invention. Same with if it doesnt exist why believe in it. People didnt believe in electricity because it did not exist for many generations, eventually someone had to believe in harnessing electric power for energy, before it ever existed. So i think this one is fundamentally disprovable.

It's the opposite. Believe enriches people's lives and makes them better people. It creates a better society. Without it societies degrade. The Western World is falling apart, because they lost faith and with it most unifying morals.

Alright then, kind of the first time I've seen this ,seemingly, wack-job talk some sense. But also it makes little sense too.... There are 8 and a half billion of us and we know so much and want to do so much that we could never fully live either kek. You are not God, just a part.
The ego acts up being challenged. You have to love your ego, calm your inner child down. "You are worried that's ok but if you act up and don't let me have a clear mind you prevent me from solving our problems." Is a kind of helpful internal dialogue. Find out the root cause of your needs and satisfy them and your ego will let you go and experience yourself.
it's concerning how simple the solution is to most of our problems yet so few people even see it. and there's so many political discussions that start in the wrong place in my opinion. for a functioning society we should really be starting with ourselves and experience. but quite often we'll try and solve political problems with the worldview that got us into it.

Imagine explaining all the experience you ever had on mushrooms to a person who hadn't experienced them, and how that experienced changed your physical interaction with reality.. they wouldn't believe you. I had been plagued with suicidal thoughts for months I was comparing myself to others I thought to myself I want to be better like them I felt jealousy bc of their successful lives I felt like a failure and I also felt like I disappointed my family for not meeting those standards Last Tuesday I overdosed on sleeping pills almost a full bottle I thought to myself why live like a disappointment to my family. The most direct and radical way to free ourselves from the grip of an emotion is to observe it without fueling it, as much as your current ability allows. Constantly check in with yourself and your body to see how you are feeling. Emotions manifest physically, and your breath is directly linked to your emotional state. This is why cultivating the habit of observing your breath throughout the day is so powerful. As your awareness grows, you will begin to notice an emotion building up before it takes over. By taking a few deep, conscious breaths, you can gradually loosen the grip of these emotions, helping to maintain your balance.
Tolle is completely wrong. The questioner said that when he tries to practice, the thought becomes more active, and this is because the mind IS active trying to meditate, and one cannot simply be aware of what is and TRY to be aware or to meditate at the same time. Tolle doesn't realize that this is the trap he set for all of his followers. Tolle said that it is possible to be aware while thought is happening, but not if the brain is trying to practice! It can't try to practice and be aware of it's own operations at the same time, because awareness is non-action. Trying to practice or meditate is action which destroys the clarity, the non-action, of awareness which sees. It doesn't do. So why are you telling it to practice? See the idiocy of this. It is not awareness that needs to pay attention: it is the brain that needs to observe and understand it's own operations in the light of this awareness which always is ever there. The brain needs to discover the importance of watching it's own operations, and only then will it begin to understand and overcome it's various dysfunctions. They need to be observed and understood without judgement or influence. There is no doing here because awareness only ever observes and understands without judgement. It is the additional operations that get in the way including the deluded belief that I need to practice, to meditate. Unfortunately the destructivity of your teaching is incalculable.
@@jonnyr6613 What we call the brain and indeed ALL THINGS are a happening in awareness, so how can you say they are seperate? It is not that they are seperate, but that awareness is the seeing of all things, which IS all things. There are no things apart from seeing. Things are a happening in seeing and nothing besides. The outside world is a mere idea for a happening in awareness and to believe it is actual is delusion. The brain even more so is basically a theoretical construction for an infinitely complex happening in awareness we call the body, Mother Nature, and her human brain, all of which themselves are inseperable. There is no real seperation except that imposed by thought which seperates brain from awareness and world.
