This is meaningless. I assume that the boot time will be a function of the size of the image being read from FLASH to the FPGA, so, assuming all the FLASH devices are identical in terms of spec, then this is just saying that the Lattice FPGA is less complex than the competition with less data to load. I'd also assume that in any good design, other components will take outputs to safe levels in a pre-boot configuration, so why does it matter if it takes a little longer to get a device booted up. After all, I wouldn't expect one device to be wholly responsible in a safety critical design either, so it looks to me like this is a solution to a non-problem.
How about car safety or driver assist systems. Recovering from a glitch or brown out in 50ms instead of 800ms could be the difference between stopping in time…..and not.
I have tried to get a free license and had to create 2 different accounts and both say that my account is not valid, what a terrible company, makes me wonder how smart those working there are.
So what is the reason that Avant evaluation board has 18 amper MAX15118 buck regulator? Around 16 amper current is supplied to core voltage of Avant by the regulator according to evaluation board document. Something is quite wrong !
Dear Lattice Team, the Evaluation Board is now released at a price of ~$1000. As a hobbyist and beginner in FPGA, do I have to buy a $2000 Lattice Radiant Software license on top of that? Do you expect your customers to pay $2000/year to renew the license so they can use your hardware? Do you have any free stuff available for the Avant board or are beginners forced to buy lower tier FPGAs. This is kind of a dealbreaker for the non-professional market
A good overview of how FPGAs are embedded into the edge. Steve is a long time technology developer with solid device understanding. Follow his interviews to understand how Lattice semi is becoming an FPGA edge leader.
I have both the 4K TV LG C2 and 4K Denon AVR-S760H with E-ARC. I don't know which is best to use as a hub the TV or the ARV, to connect 4K blu ray and 4K firestick. I have the TV on furniture so you wont see the wires if I connect component to it, but some people would have the TV on a wall and it would be nice to only run one E-ARC HDMI so in this case they would connect everything to the AVR. Which HUD would produce the best video and sound.
I understand openocd was originally designed for JTAG debugging, but is it possible to use it thru an SWD interface? My board Risc-V's connector has SWD+SWV(TDO) which should allow it to stream trace data. I have a J-Link edu, but can't get Eclipse+OpenOCD to connect/stream!
Hi, Mr/Mrs Administrator I am using usb cable HW-USBN-2B for programmer flash on LC4064ZE IC. Normally, I used Diammond programmer for upload flash. but, I want upload .xcf file by the command line currently. SO, can you help me using any tool for upload flash for devide?. if you have instruction detail, so i am thanks for you.
