@@whygamewhy the x100vi is around 1600 and the leica q3 is around 6200.... Fine, you can't get 4 x100vi's, but 3 and have hundreds of bucks left in your pocket.
@@whygamewhy Congratz, you're the only person on the internet to say ''shitty lens'' the x100vi has an incredible lens. You're right though, the Q3 is full frame, that's the only sensible argument here.
No you can’t put the lens hood on, once the everyday filter is attached. But you can use the tiffen black pro most filter instead, the lens hood will fit perfectly over 👍 Using the everyday filter, you want to be able to turn the front anyways, because it’s polarizer filter. With lens hood that wouldn’t be possible
@@in0711 definitely! The „bloom“ effect is quite similar, but the polarizer is amazing. Specially when shooting on reflective surface. I didn’t thought, that I would enjoy it that much.
Great video! I have Q3 on my watchlist but unfortunately I will not buy it until freezing problem is solved. Think Leica M10 series is a better choice, like the size & quality
☺️ if you look at minute 0:50 sec. you can see the Q3 graving at the top of the camera (even better at 4:50 min.). Also the display at the back of the camera is far more out then the Q2. How come you think it’s a Q2? ;)
Please accept my apologies; I have both a Q2M & Q3. The flip screen and the shutter release button are the most visible differences; I noticed the shutter button is kind of like a Q2 button; that's all it is; by the way, it's a great video.
To adress long startup time: set the standby time to the lowest (30s i think) and just leave the camera on. Thats how i shoot all day without switching the Q off. When you see something, just hit the shutter half way and the camera wakes up in about 1s. Great Video by the way and stunning editing especially with the colors! You should really consider selling some presets ;) Cheers!

My heart have been chasing that camera for long, thankfully my brain is rationally in line with my wallet and I steamed out by now. I agree about the quality of that Summilux lens, it’s the key point for sharpness and micro contrast that makes Leica images look different. The closest I can get with my Fujifilm Xpro3 is with the xf18mm f/1.4 WR that is such a great lens but my Fujifilm lacks the second interesting part of this that not many people speaks about, with 60mp I do like the real time crop option from the Q3 even if just in JPEG. With such great glass and sensor, it’s easy and nice to have like 3 lenses in 1. Even if compression and dof are not exactly the same, most of street photography does not use shallow dof anyway. My major concern is just one (aside price) and you have touched it more in the comments than in the video: Leica look comes 60% of the lens, 40% of the post processing. That for me does not make Fujifilm better but the truth is none of the images I’ve seen from a Leica so far are SOOC, instead those are the result of post processing excellent editing. Congratulations your images are amazing but I guess that part of those are because you’re using your Lightroom presets. Summing up, physically a Leica allows great images from the start because one gets amazing core product to work with but it’s a mistake to buy a Leica thinking about the practicality of using those images without proper editing (like a Fujifilm with film simulations). I’m I wrong?

@@Lowdown13blues I've tried to compare the 4K of my Q3 with A7SIII et the Osmo Pocket 3. The 4k of the Q3 is very crispy with a lot of aliasing.. Did you have this problem ?
Im using my presets in Lightroom Classic/Mobile. You can have a look at my IG (EYESPHALT). In my Highlights I have posted the before and after, using my preset Pack. And for the filmic look I’m using Dehancer plug in for Lightroom as well :)
Great video ! I’ve watched quite a few videos on the Q3 but yours is the first to really show the differences in image details over the two previous Q’s. Although those differences are slight, they are enough for me to seriously consider purchasing even though I own both it’s predecessors.
nice one mate, done the same as you, as a fuji guy I get a Q3 in january and since then shot more than 5k photo, also obtained a x100VI thru a crazy trade and despite it's a lovely camera I simply can't separate from the Q3. can I ask you what kind of skin have you put on? the dot is simplu covered or substituted with a black one (as I've also done)? cheers from italy, come back soon!
Thank you Nick, I appreciate it. I bought the Skin from ALPHAGVARD in the Color (Green). The Black Dot is just covered by a Black Dot which came from with the Skin as well. i will come back for sure :)
Totally agree 👍 I’ve been using the Fujifilm X100v for the past 3 years and shot over 20k images, i definitely like the image quality of the Q3 way more. But yeah the price of the Q3 is ridiculous high, but for me it was worth it.
Thankfully it’s not freezing. But it is very slow from time to time. In this case all of my other cameras (Fujifilm XT-5/x100V) are much faster when turning on and off.
I did put a tape on the shutter release. I decided not to purchase the wireless charging grip and stand. I’ve seen, if you don’t put the camera on the exact spot, it won’t charge.

The 23 tells a more compelling story, with the 35 your pictures talk about something more specific. I think with the 23, you can always crop (if needed), the 35 doesn't give you much room for that.
Just FYI - the battery lid is actually not usually the issue. The battery contacts inside the battery chamber slowly flatten over time, which means the batteries no longer push on the battery door to keep it secure. You can use a small screwdriver to bend the contacts back up and the battery door should then be solid without tape. It’s a bad design in terms of longevity but from new they would’ve never had this issue.
