I have a contact who is looking to sell his virtus topline 1L TSI MT in 13.3 lacs in Bengalore. He has done ppf on it. Only 12k KM driven and he bought it in 2023. Im not sure if i should buy it or not. It’s my first ever car. My initial budget was arounf 10 lacs but after looking at virtus, i am not liking any other car.
that sounds like a good price. Check the car thoroughly, possibly get a mechanic to verify and check it's history at a nearby SC as well. If all is good, go for it! But if possible, pick an automatic. You should be able to find a Highline AT at the same price, possibly a little lower. Your left leg will thank you in the future, especially in the terrible Bangalore traffic.
Bhai go for it.. I recently purchased virtus 1.0 tsi highline MT .. initially thoda lag feel hota hai... But after 2nd gear rocket hai ye.. in city m getting an average of 12 and on highway around 16. It's just 45 days old.
I'm considering VW virtus(because of its presence) and Honda City (because of many other things). Is VW maintenance costly compared to Honda? Are spare parts affordable
The car owner has explained everything regarding the maintenance package in this video. Honda city being a naturally aspirated engine will be more affordable as compared to a turbocharged engine.
If performance is a priority for you, then go with VW. The City is no doubt very plush from inside, but it really disappoints when it comes to roll-on acceleration. If you want to make quick overtakes on trucks or while at speed on highways, you have to plan your moves carefully, there is no torque at cruising speeds. A turbo engine (even the smaller 1.0 L one) eliminates that problem
1250 kg hai virtus and honda city is 1107 kg.. Car shud be of good quality. Maintenance is fine . Honda city LED headlight is Rs 50,000 per piece.. Nthg is cheap nowadays.
Any day VW Virtus. Honda City and Civic were great cars in 2007-11 era when NA engines ruled the market. Not in 2024 though. Once you drive a turbo with dsg gearbox, there is no going back. Anything else will feel ancient.
