I was in a charity shop in Withington and came across a Oldham Tinkers Cd. As im from Oldham, it intrigued me, so i went on I-tunes and i across this magical song. What a quaint lullaby.
Absolutely incredible. You resisted the impulse to overcrowd the layout, or make it look too busy. My only observation, the bus emerging under the bridge looks noticeably static against all the train movement above. Maybe if the bus is seen to stop to drop off/pick up passengers at a bus stop it would share the sense of activity. Please accept my heartfelt admiration.
This is culm valley model railway clubs layout nit my own sadly read the description and go and visit them for yourself if you can they had another two layouts in the room to 😊
I am so glad you show the entire track geometry, which makes it possible to understand train movements. Everybody should do this to help other enthusiasts. Very nice!
I started drilling holes into the copper sleepers and screwing baby screws in as when only glued I've snagged them a few times n they lifted still. Good progress though.
Looks a good loft with potential, layout's looking good too. How's you n Cov MRC? I might think about joining again sometime but not until the mask bollocks is lifted.
Hi Gavin Lot's of stuff to do in the loft it's going to be a good time before I make drastic progress but it will get there glad I've got the space for it. Already got more length than at dad's so that's a win. Will just take my time with it. It would be nice to see you back at the club I will reply to this comments with details of change's in restrictions when they happen is that cool with you ? I've been wondering how you're getting on but I haven't got your email so couldn't check in on you.
Hi All After the relaxation in the Covid rules the committee has decided to relax the club opening rules a little. We are very conscious of the increase in case numbers especially locally The numbers at each session will be increased to eight. Please continue to use the online booking system. Masks are no longer compulsory but we recommend that precautions including masks and social distancing are still observed. Pleas respect those who wish to continue all precautions. Wednesday and Saturday sessions will continue to operate subject to demand and the availability of key holders Tea and Coffee stocks have been replenished. Drink making either individually or in groups can resume but we would ask everybody to be careful with handing cups and wash all used cups up thoroughly in hot water. These changes will be reviewed again in August.
Hasn't bothered me before I should change the point motor's for servo motors at some point and convert it to digital control but I can cope with it like this for a good while thanks for sharing your opinion on it. 🙂
You can normally get away with the one I may of placed two on there by mistake I normally bend one of the kickers round the coupling and leave the cross bar sticking out then I trim the other kicker down but I Found another video where he just just super glues one of the kickers straight up the coupling I will put the link in the description. Hope you understand what I'm on about 🤣
Yooo! You're in my latest vid here n there with Henry at Cov MRC! If this lockdown bollocks clears up (doubtfull) we'll have to meet n catch up. Been ageeeeys! Your layouts coming on good, water area looks promising. "Ooh look, comes out with 1 wagon!" 😁
Hi, I think you have done a good job here, will this be part of many sections to make a larger layout ? I am building similar in the loft, you can see my attempt at ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Cbg9injgEVM.html . I have subscribed and thumbs up. Regards Alan at Buckland Junction.
