Hi mate the metal use for support the rails around this railway are old cable trays you would usually find them in Building Construction they will use them as a safe way to Mount large amounts of cables inside walls of buildings they shouldn't be too hard to find mate hope this helps
It's the original loop then. There was an extension to add-on the much larger loop with the large bridge. So it ends up being now a short loop. That is good for testing. Manually controlled live steam engines. Because the loop is essentially dead flat.
Hi mate yes unfortunately the railway had to be pulled out cos I had to move out put all into storage and this video was the last train to run on the ragtag garden railway at Fryerstown
is that a VR B class? if so tell me how you made it cause i wanna make a similar thing (except it would a double ended electric locomotive cause my local railroad used to have some back in the 1950s)
Hi mate it's a look alike of a VR S class locomotive made out of a aristo-craft fa1 locomotive my dad Wayne kofoed did the paint work to make it look like it is Victorian railways and as for a VR b class my dad is currently building 1 out of 2 aristo-craft E8 locomotives if you would like some more information look up garden railways Australia on Facebook there's a bloke there who's built a beautiful Victorian railways b class in tangerine and grey colour scheme and it's absolutely beautiful and definitely work having the look mate
Thank you Robert my dad would be very appreciative of your comment and I must say that I agree with you it does look very Victorian but it is still a work in progress at the moment and the next couple of jobs to be done to this locomotive is it's getting converted to battery powered and radio controlled and hopefully get sound put on it as well and do a bit more work on the ark last detailing as well
@@theragtaggardenrailway4429 Good luck with the project. battery /radio makes a lot of sense outdoors and sound adds to the pleasure. Then maybe find a way to make a prototypical load it can pull.
Yes that is a newqida frame cylinders wheels gearboxes and the 7.2 volt motor the speed controller is a HSP item out of a rock crawler and the Locomotive body is a Piko docksider and it is all had a little bit of customising to make it fit together as well as it does
