Why wouldn't you just put that second battery IN your car under the hood where the dead battery is!? I don't understand why you'd need that other one by your feet!!??
What i did was..got me a new battery i unplug my tail lights turn my stereo n blower fan off in other words everything that would drain my battery i did it for 3days until i got my altinator sauted out
Thanks a lot Can you drive a car on Jump starts without an alternator or battery? (if the alternator is not working, so you could drive the car to the shop if it is close) How many Ah your battery ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-PjXOpr9wFsg.html Drive with ONLY a Jump Pack? (Car Battery Entirely REMOVED) Replacement battery for Jump-N-Carry part no JNC105 22Ah $40 ..... .
Charged battery required to start car. Alternator charges the battery. In my case my boat battery was strong enough to run my vehicle the 15min I needed without the alternator working
If you drive a truck, put a gas generator in the pickup bed and run a extension cord along the side and under the hood where you have a small battery charger hooked to the battery and the charger plugged in to the extension cord. You can drive as long as you want till you can fix the alternator. YEAH!!
You will likely either find two 12volt batteries or four 6volt batteries. Typically the charging systems charge 12volts. I would suggest checking your owners manual to discern how it is wired before proceeding. Great question.
alternatively you can simply use 4 12v solar panels that cost about $25 each and wire them together tomake one big solar panel that can charge at 4x the speed vs using just one. this way you can literally charge your battery all day long. you can't drive all day long but you can definitely recharge to 12.6v in less than 30 minutes using 4 of these panels instead of the less practical one panel that takes damn near 8 hours to charge from 11v to 12.6v 😂 that's free knowledge and free education right there. this guy is just not that educated
Why every one saying get a Jumpstart. Car will die when jumper cables are removed. Not getting the logic of some. Of you guessing. Dont. Your going to get someone hurt or killed.
Totally broke I guess you could say that. Typically if you know how a car is supposed to run you will be able to tell the alternator is getting weak before the point it leaves you dead on the road.
This video blows. Thanks for nothing. Fyi, you obviously dont know this but you have nothing of value to offer the world. I can tell from watching a single video of yours. Please delete your account.
I did this and was able to drive 34 miles to my friend's apartment and then charged the battery while there even though I didn't need to and then drove another good 45 minutes in total then once again charged though I didn't need to and drove 34 miles back home.
having 2 batteries doesn't work in a practical sense. it takes hours to recharge a dead car battery especially using basic at home battery chargers/maintainers you still need to park your car and recharge both batteries costing you several hours
If you have an extra full battery handy by you, it would be more efficient to put the full battery instead of the other one... Rigging it this way would waste energy through the cable.
I don’t understand your question. Are you saying that you have different wires on your batteries ? Ideally it is best to disconnect the batteries before charging, but the video shows how I charged my batteries while connected due to being in a hurry to get on the road. If you disconnect, make sure you reconnect the same as they were initially wired. Wiring or charging wrong can be dangerous.
Thanks for sharing. Did this do any electrical damage to your car upon driving it with that trick initially? Please let me know. Having trouble with alternator too. Need to get it about 2.5 miles to my guy's shop and I'm tryna avoid the towing truck. Please lemme know.
John Milton ~ Thank you so much bro. I'm going to do this soon when I buy the alternator. Ima do this just to get it about 7 mins away to my mechanics shop. Ima do it at night time when there's no cars and have my wife follow me. So the battery in the car actually keeps the car on and from losing power fully for a few mins??
I did in daytime because I didn't need to use lights. your lights will draw more power. I would suggest daytime if you can but you should still be ok for a short trip. I turned off everything I possibly could such as the heater fan, radio, lights.
John Milton ~ My car is a 2006 Lexus so it draws it's good amount of electricity. I hope this trick gets me by. If not it's the tow truck for me. Did the car move and respond normally with full power engine wise? I'll turn my lights off and dim my dash all the way down and also turn nav screen off. That's the most I can do in my car. Thank you for all your output buddy. I have faith in your trick because I know it's COLD where your from and my climate is similar as I live in PA USA or is pretty cold here now. I'll cross my fingers.
