I was 51 years old when I started writing songs.. but I'm still unknown. Buddy Holly was only 19 years old when he started writing songs..and became a living legend at only 22 years old by 1959 which was the year he was killed in that plane crash. Buddy Holly is the real King of Rock of Roll🌟

What could have been... what. Dan shame. He was only a young lad and I say that as a 25 year old. If only he had lived to see the 60's and the cultural revolution. Maybe in an alternate universe. Its one of those instances where you know he would have made countless classic songs. He was literally just starting. To have a catalogue such as that at such an age, is nothing short if astounding. He would have went on to such great things. Just imagine the beatles coming out with Sgt. Pepper, and what Holly would have done in response. It is somewhat of a pipe dream, but I genuinely believe someone of his songwriting caliber would hit out with something totally unexpected. In fucking awe of the man. 22 years old... enough said

It’s absolutely incredible what he was able to accomplish at the tender age of 22. Buddy will always be one of the greatest icons of the rock and roll world! RIP Buddy, Ritchie and “the Big Bopper” JP Richardson and the pilot Roger Peterson. Early morning, February 3rd, 1959 is surely one of the most tragic days in the history of music.

To just be one of those lucky people who managed to get to the *autograph table and meet this amazing rock n roll artist and his friends...what an experience that must have been! As sad as it is that Buddy Holly was taken so prematurely, he made enough music to inspire many generations! In my eyes, Buddy is as big as The Beatles and Elvis ❤

People use the word “legend” for all and sundry…but Buddy Holly is the genuine article …..and echoes of his soul are heard in all the greats of rock music that followed.
