The first time I walked on that dam was in 1966, it was full of water and contained a population of large goldfish. In those days very few people knew about it and it could be reached with a 4WD vehicle. I'm happy that it is a hike-in-only destination now.
Use a drone before hiking all over the place? Genius! Been searching all over the mountains on google maps and i found it a few days before seeing this video, but this confirms it.
Nice video. Should do it to the Airwolf theme, as that's where many of the desert flight scenes were made. Got to camp there in 2021, even saw the site in the video at 15:00. Found some dinosaur tracks near there. Nice place, very few other people. Very quiet at night. Gorgeous stargazing.
