This video isn’t helpful I put primer and mr color and it’s not coming out of my airbrush, before I put it in the air brush is it supposed to be wet or something? I’m a beggine
thanks for making this vid, worked good for me! there's so much confusion with lacquer/enamel/acrylic, guys at the store totally confused me with this. so i airbrushed primer onto my piece, then AK Xtreme Metal aluminum, and lastly Vallejo Model Air black. used a cotton swab with water and wiped the black off the raised parts. i think the reason this worked is because AK Xtreme Metal is solvent based and Vallejo Model Air is water based.
I was looking up reverse wash coz I needed it for my next project, lo and behold it a reverse wash video with my next project, Sinanju. Thank you so much!
Cuz gloss black base is required for a more metallic finish for metallic layers. He used star bright gold and it works better if there's a gloss black base. all paint layers except for the top layer are lacquer paints. The final black layer uses enamel paint. As enamel paint thinner does not dissolve lacquer paint, it can there for be used to wipe away the top most black layer without removing the lacquer layers below.
@@Sharkey007x depends on whether u put the acrylic above or below. In terms of paint thinner solubiliy, lacquer> enamel> acrylic. Lacquer can dissolve everything below it.
Hi, I like watching your videos. nice and neat work. beautiful video for me to watch. I hope you progress and succeed. I always look forward to your latest videos.
Not original OP but from what I've seen others do, yes you gotta thin before airbrushing. Enamel thinner at 1:1 paint / thinner ratio or milk consistency seems to be what everyone is doing
