Hi! I am Carlee and I like to cook. I am a busy mom that loves to share family friendly recipes. Many of them are homemade and from scratch, but I also love a good shortcut where it makes sense.
My son loves to help in the kitchen, so we have started doing videos together of recipes that your kids (or grandkids) can help with as well. We love making tasty food with simple recipes. It is a great way to bond, eat good food and teach life skills all at the same time!
Looks delicious and easy to make, definitely going to try it out next! Is it okay if i make the frosting earlier and store it in the refrigerator or will it affect its consistency/texture?
I read you need to double bowl, have the mixing bowl in an ice bath while you whip it. The colder the better... I'm going to try my hand at it to see. I know evaporated milk will whip then add sugar, so you essentially have sweetened whipped cream.
To cute that young fella. That is called “Jello Chiffon Pie” and it’s from the 50’s. I have been looking for just this recipe! I love how he wipes up his mess and he takes his whisking most seriously. Lol.
Lard is so much better that shortening, and despite what the media says, it is better for you also. Since vegetables don’t actually produce oil. I will always keep lard in the house!
I dont have any popcorn on hand But gonna substitute my favorite cheerios for it and some sliced almonds for the peanuts… and gonna add some cinnamon to the mixture before adding cheerios and almonds lol
@@CookingWithCarlee it was lol i forgot to add cinnamon but I substituted coconut sugar for the sugar and agave nectar for the syrup lol turned out amazing thank you for posting this video
