You should be getting out after dumping to ensure the tailgate is indeed locked but lose debris on the sides of where u dumped, & in between ur tires, too many drivers are taking the easier way. Otherwise good video👍
You don't need to depress the clutch to engage or disengage the difflock. And guys leaving their dump boxes up is something i can't understand because its obv lookin in thr mirror, u gotta use those. Always get out of cab after dumping to check ur tires for rocks, and ur dump box to ensure your latch for the gate is indeed locked. Peace of mind. 👍
Yea. Take the cover off behind the right final drive. You'll see the hydraulic lines then..they then travel through the track frame, and up through the center of machine to the pump.
I know this is an old video…but I am 52 years old. I decided to make a career change after covid. I left my job after 22 years in a warehouse offloading trucks and shipping containers. I got my CDL B. License last year. I’m still trying to find the right fit. I’m looking at a few dump truck companies outside Philly. Hopefully I can find something that encourages new inexperienced cdl drivers. I have a couple questions. 1)Does the dump truck driver get out of the truck to do any digging, tampering or excavating or does he/she just stay in truck to drive and operate it? I don’t mind stretching my legs out and getting my hands dirty but at my age, I’m not trying to do too much physical work at this stage of my life. 2) what is better? Getting paid by the load? Or paid by the hour? One place said that they start new drivers at $22.-23/hr. 8-10 hour days. Another place said $230-250/ day no overtime. They give 30-50$ over 40hours. Can you or any of your followers help give me some idea before applying there?
